Meet Babsi Wilson of Babsi Wilson, Life and Career Coach and Realtor®

Today we’d like to introduce you to Babsi Wilson.

Babsi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
More Than a Move: How I Found Purpose and Home in San Diego

I grew up in Austria, surrounded by mountains and tradition—but with a curious heart that always felt drawn to something bigger. That something has always been San Diego. I visited for the first time when I was ten years old, and even at that young age, I felt a deep connection to this place—something about the ocean, the freedom, the energy, and especially the people. I didn’t know then that I’d one day call it home, but I was always hoping to be a proud San Diegan someday.

Before that happened, life took me on a long and often challenging path. I raised my daughter as a single mom for 16 years, building resilience and clarity one day at a time. That experience shaped everything about how I show up for others now. It taught me compassion, resilience, and how to persevere, especially when things feel difficult.

During a vacation in San Diego, I met my now-husband (Active Duty Air Force) and started building a life that felt aligned with who I really am.

I took another leap of faith after the big move and pursued my coaching business, having successfully run a web and marketing agency. I wanted to help women find their own clarity, confidence, and purpose—especially those who, like me, had spent years taking care of others before attending to themselves.

Over time, that calling expanded into real estate. For me, being a realtor isn’t about transactions. It’s about helping people feel safe and supported during one of the most significant decisions of their lives. I work differently: no pressure, no glossed-over details—just straightforward, honest, compassionate guidance. I take time to understand what matters most to my clients, whether they’re buying their first home, relocating, or starting over.
My coaching background naturally feeds into how I work in real estate. I listen deeply. I ask questions that go beyond surface-level wants. And I care—a lot. Whether I’m walking someone through mindset blocks or home inspections, my goal is always to offer clarity and calm in what can be a stressful process.

San Diego has been the backdrop for a lot of healing, growth, and new beginnings in my life. And now, it’s my honor to help others find not just a house, but a home—and not just a plan, but a path forward that feels true to who they are.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road—but I wouldn’t trade it. I became a single mom at a young age and raised my daughter on my own for 16 years. That chapter of my life was filled with love, but also a lot of responsibility and pressure. I had to figure out how to keep us afloat financially, emotionally, and mentally, often without much of a safety net. There were moments of real fear, and many times I questioned whether I was doing enough.

Moving to San Diego was a dream, but it came with its own challenges—adjusting to a new country, building a support system from scratch, and starting over professionally. I also had to learn to trust myself again, making decisions not from a place of survival, but from alignment.

Stepping into coaching meant doing deep personal work first. I had to face my own doubts, impostor syndrome, and the voice that asked, “Who am I to guide others?” But over time, I realized my lived experience was my strength, not something to overcome, but something to lead with.

And even in real estate, a field often associated with hard sales and hustle, I’ve had to carve out my own path—one that’s built on relationships, empathy, and doing things differently. That hasn’t always been easy in a competitive industry, but I know the people who find me are the ones I’m meant to support.

Looking back, every struggle made me a better coach, a better agent, and a better human. It’s been anything but linear, but it’s real. And that’s what matters to me.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Babsi Wilson, Life and Career Coach and Realtor®?
My work is about helping women reconnect with themselves, their vision, and what truly matters. As a certified Life Coach and licensed Realtor®, I support people through some of the biggest transitions in life—whether that means stepping into a new chapter, changing careers, or finding a home that finally feels right.

In my coaching, I specialize in working with women who have been holding it all together for everyone else and are finally ready to focus on themselves. I offer 1:1 spaces that are grounded, compassionate, and deeply clarifying. I’m not about quick fixes or hype. My clients come to me because they seek honesty, clarity, and genuine, lasting change.

My coaching work is built around three core programs:

The Clarity Session
A single, powerful 180-minute session to pause, reflect, and realign. It’s for women navigating a decision, a transition, or simply feeling off track. We examine what’s happening, identify blocks, uncover what truly matters, and create a tangible, soul-aligned action plan. You’ll leave with a summary and a roadmap that feels grounded and doable.

The Reset (21 days)
This is for women who’ve been stuck in “go mode” for too long and are ready to return to themselves. Over three sessions in 21 days, we gently release what no longer fits, reconnect with your own voice, and map out what alignment looks like now. You’ll walk away feeling like you again—with clarity, energy, and a renewed sense of direction.

The Deep Dive (6 weeks)
A high-touch 1:1 coaching experience for the woman who’s done playing small. Whether you’re starting something new or stepping into a new identity, this journey gives you the support and structure to create lasting change. It combines strategy with deep inner work so you can move forward in full alignment—with clarity, momentum, and a plan that fits who you’re becoming.

What sets my work apart is how real it is. I’ve lived through big transitions myself—raising my daughter on my own for 16 years, starting over in a new country, and rebuilding my life and career from scratch. I know how overwhelming it can feel, and I also know what’s possible when you have the right support.

That same grounded, human-first approach also shapes how I work in real estate. I’m a relational—not transactional—Realtor®. I guide people through the home buying process with transparency, patience, and a calm, supportive presence. As a military spouse, I also understand the challenges of frequent relocation and the importance of finding stability during transition. Whether it’s a first-time buyer, a military family relocating to San Diego, or someone starting over, I make sure they feel safe, informed, and confident every step of the way.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that people don’t come to me just for a service. They come because they feel seen. Because they want to make intentional, aligned choices—and they trust me to walk with them.

For everyone curious about coaching but unsure if it’s the right fit, I offer free 30-minute strategy calls. There’s no pressure—just space to explore what you need and whether I can support you in getting there.

How do you think about luck?
I believe luck shows up, but only when you’ve done the inner work to recognize and receive it.

There have been moments in my life that felt lucky from the outside—like meeting my husband after years of doing it all on my own, or building a life in San Diego after dreaming of it since I was a kid. But none of those things happened overnight. They came after years of navigating uncertainty, doing hard things on my own, and staying open even when it would’ve been easier to shut down.

In business, I wouldn’t say luck built anything for me, but I have been lucky to meet incredible people at the right time. Women who trusted me to coach them. Clients who referred me because they felt truly supported. I think those moments of “luck” are often the result of showing up consistently, staying in integrity, and doing work that’s aligned.

Of course, there have also been seasons that felt like bad luck—delayed plans, missed opportunities, or doors that closed. But even those turned out to be redirections. The hard stuff built my resilience and made me a better coach, a more grounded person, and someone who can hold space for others with real empathy.

So yes, luck has played a role—but it’s always been met with intention, readiness, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work.
