Today we’d like to introduce you to Banning, Brittany and Cody Cantarini.
Banning, Brittany and Cody, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Pioneer is a family company that started when we all sat down and thought about what we could build together. Our unique upbringing and ancestral history have taught us to appreciate hard work, quality goods, and backyard parties. We wanted to incorporate elements of these things into a business. Our heritage is one born on the farm and lived out the back of horses. So when we decided we wanted to start a company, it had to represent who we are and where we come from.
The beginning was pretty simple. Cody had bought an old rusty horse trailer and wanted to turn it into something beautiful. He asked Banning and Brittany if they had any ideas and when they started designing a mobile bar that could be rented out for events, Pioneer Event Rentals started to take shape. The idea of restoring and building things that people enjoy at their most important events really appealed to us. Especially if we can help them serve ice-cold beer! So we sanded all the rust away, redesigned the trailer, and made ‘The Burbocker,’ our first mobile bar. Since then, we’ve expanded our rental fleet and now have different vintage vehicles, tractors, and chairs for rent. Each of our rentals has a unique story, some of which required a full restoration. As time has gone on, we’ve learned that we love being a part of all kinds of events. Weddings, corporate events, private party’s… we love seeing people enjoy the things we’ve made.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Aside from the countless hours of design and fabrication, it’s been really enjoyable. Most of what we restore or build come from our own travels. Driving up to the cabin in Montana, maybe we’ll find an old truck sulking in someone’s backyard. Maybe visiting our Rodeo Queen mother in Arizona, we’ll come across another rusty old horse trailer. We just keep our eyes open for new projects, always ready to dream up how to bring these old treasures back into the limelight.
Pioneer Event Rental – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Pioneer Event Rental provides private and corporate events with vintage pieces that will engage their guests and create a beautiful aesthetic for any occasion. We are known for the quality of our builds and the way that our rentals elevate any party. We are most proud of the way that our rentals WOW guests. Seeing our products in pictures that they will look back on forever is one of the best feelings as a small business owner.
What sets us apart from others? Everything we build and rent has 110% of ourselves in it. Our blood, sweat, tears, hopes and dreams. When you have one of our rentals at your event, you and your guests will know it.
What were you like growing up?
Banning was creative. He loved music and old mechanical things. His first vehicle was a 73′ Ford pickup which he had to get running before his 16th birthday. He’s always loved to fish and still spends much of his time finding ways to get a line in the water. Cody was a gear head from the get go. As soon as he could turn a wrench, he was taking things apart and learning how to put them back together. He is a passionate outdoorsman and a helicopter pilot.
Brittany grew up traveling] to many different countries from a very early age. She was always outgoing and loved to meet anyone and everyone. Into adulthood, the desire for new experiences never left. She continues to travel the world in search of adventure to this very day.
