Meet Bar1ne of San Diego

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bar1ne.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Randee Dunbar aka Bar1ne – DJ, Artist, and Visionary

Randee Dunbar, known as Bar1ne, began his DJ career in 2012, learning the craft during his lunch breaks—a passion so consuming it cost him his job but launched him into an unforgettable journey. Known as the “Aux Cord Lord,” Bar1ne built a reputation for seamlessly blending all genres and creating electrifying experiences for his audiences.

Over the years, he has opened for hip-hop icons like Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Wu-Tang Clan, Future, and many more. His talent has taken him around the world, performing at major festivals like Made in America and Rolling Loud. In San Diego nightlife, Bar1ne reigned for nearly six summers, commanding the biggest rooms and setting the tone for the city’s party scene. His DJ style is big, bold, and entertaining, making every set an unforgettable experience.

Beyond the decks, Bar1ne’s influence extends to touring with some of the industry’s biggest rappers, proving his ability to move crowds on any stage. His love for music and passion for breaking generational curses have always driven his creative journey. While DJing was his foundation, he released his first and only project, “Escape from Kill Island,” in 2019.

In 2024, Bar1ne made a bold pivot, stepping away from DJing to pursue his emerging art career. In a short time, he has curated four of his own art shows, showcased at Art Basel and various local art events, and released his first illustrated book, “The Misadventures of Soul.” His artistic journey is fueled by a mission: to make his childhood self proud and to never give up on his dreams.

Very Creative and always pushing to bring my ideas to life.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
