Today we’d like to introduce you to Barbara Dollero.
Barbara, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After a really fun, creative, retail career working in visual merchandising I decided to create Blanc Floral Design. It all started after taking time off about 6 years ago. Honestly, it started as a side hobby doing florals for friends and hosting large and intimate events Including doing friends weddings. It was just another way to be creative during my time working in corporate retail. I love gatherings and doing anything that creates a visual experience so it felt like the natural next step to build our small business.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No. It hasn’t always been easy but I know anything worth anything takes time to build and nourish. You have to hustle in this industry. It may take 100 no’s before you start to get a yes. In the end, it’s all worth it when you see a client’s positive reaction to your work.

Blanc Floral Design is a floral and event styling business. At first, most of our clients come to us for floral design. However, they quickly realize we are more than that. We provide conceptual event design as well as event styling. We provide rentals and work with some amazing local vendors as well. So really, we are a one-stop shop for brides and clients when it comes to floral and event design.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Great question. I’d like to think we are authentic in our approach. I also think because of my background in corporate retail, it’s always about the customer. They come first and I try to make them the priority in any decision I make. From a creative standpoint, it has to be about the visual experience. I’m a sucker for timeless, classic romance and that’s what we try to incorporate into the work.
