Meet Beatriz Cabrera of Archmony Design and the Beauty Tea Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beatriz Cabrera.

Hi Beatriz, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Fifteen years ago, I came from Mexico, with more determination than certainty. I didn’t have a clear roadmap. I came with a dream, an accent, and the conviction that I could build something better for myself. What I didn’t know then was that I would end up building many things — not just for myself, but for my community.

The early years were humbling. I worked hard, learned fast, and carried the quiet pressure that so many immigrants know: the desire to make every sacrifice worth it. I didn’t always feel like I belonged, but I kept showing up — to school, to opportunities, to each challenge placed in front of me.

Architecture became my first home in a new country. It gave me structure, purpose, and a way to leave something tangible in the world. Through discipline and heart, I built a career I’m proud of — one where I get to shape spaces, solve problems, and bring people’s visions to life. What started as a job grew into a calling, and that calling eventually inspired me to create my first business: an architecture firm focused on serving people with honesty, creativity, and integrity.

But creativity doesn’t live in just one place.

In the middle of all the professional noise, I realized I wanted to create something that felt more personal — something rooted in wellness, beauty, and the cultural warmth I grew up with. That’s how The Beauty Tea Company was born. It began as a small idea fueled by nostalgia and passion, and it grew into a brand that helps people take care of themselves, pause, heal, and feel beautiful from the inside out.

Today, I stand as the founder of two businesses — one built from technical skill, and one built from heart — both built from courage.

My journey hasn’t been perfect or easy, but it’s mine. And every step, every challenge, every reinvention has taught me the same truth:
you can come from another country with nothing certain, and still create a life filled with purpose, impact, and beauty.

I am still growing. Still dreaming. Still building. And I’m just getting started

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all — the journey has been anything but smooth.
When I came from Mexico 15 years ago, I had to learn a new language, a new culture, and rebuild my life from zero. I often felt out of place and had to work twice as hard just to be taken seriously.

Building my career in architecture came with long hours, pressure, and moments where I questioned whether I belonged in the room. And starting two businesses brought its own challenges — figuring out funding, operations, clients, and learning through trial and error.

But every challenge made me stronger. The obstacles taught me resilience, discipline, and the courage to create opportunities for myself. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it — and it’s a journey I’m proud of.

As you know, we’re big fans of Archmony Design and the Beauty Tea Company. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Archmony Design, I specialize in creating thoughtful, human-centered spaces and have worked on projects like The Museum of Making Music, The New Village Arts Theater, and the San Diego Safari Park. What sets us apart is our focus on harmony — blending aesthetics, function, and the needs of the people who use the spaces.

The Beauty Tea Company is a wellness brand dedicated to beauty from within, offering teas that nourish the body and promote self-care. I’m proud of how it connects with people emotionally, turning a simple ritual into an experience.

Both brands are rooted in quality, integrity, and purpose — whether designing spaces or crafting moments of wellness

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality I believe has been most important to my success is integrity. In everything I do — from designing meaningful, functional spaces at Archmony Design to creating wellness experiences with The Beauty Tea Company — I strive to be honest, transparent, and true to my values.

Integrity means delivering on promises, treating clients and collaborators with respect, and never cutting corners, even when it’s tempting to take shortcuts. It’s what builds trust, inspires loyalty, and allows me to create work and products that people can rely on and feel proud of.

Ultimately, integrity guides every decision I make, keeps my businesses authentic, and ensures that the work I put into the world is both meaningful and lasting.
