Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian “KASPER” Malecki.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Been drawing since I was a little kid got into the graffiti art scene throughout my teenage years started hand poking tattoos on myself and friends around the neighborhood eventually got ahold of a tattoo machine in high school working my way into a swap meet tattoo shop in my early 20’s then worked all over Los Angeles spent a few years in the IE then back to Los Angeles spent 8-9 years in Venice Beach and Hollywood for a short time Orange County for 11 years and now I’m working with some of the best artists in the business here in Long Beach
Please tell us about your art.
I’ve always been into black and grey realism in drawing and tattooing I recently started taking oil painting classes with Rino Gonzalez and am also learning life drawing from Sergio Sanchez.
Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
Yes, the struggle is real! Starving artists all over the world know that you have to eat sleep and breathe art to get good you must immerse yourself into art! It can be very rough on relationships and your social life I’ve lived in my mom’s garage and ate lots of top ramen. lol
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
I usually post the upcoming shows and information on my Instagram and Facebook accounts.
