Meet Brianne Garcia of BG Spa Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianne Garcia.

Hi Brianne, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I got started in my field as a Licensed Esthetician in 2005. I began my career by working for small businesses including a medial spa, where I developed my passion for corrective skin care services. While I was still in school for esthetics, I already had a following for mobile facial services. When the word got out, I was doing skin care people wanted me to help them correct their skin problems in their home. I went on to land my first big High-end spa Job at the “Away” Spa which was the W Hotel’s first spa as their own. My advanced knowledge & master at corrective facials and peels in peels and the skin care like they were bringing me in landed me the job. I quickly showed my strong work ethic and was encouraged to become dual licensed in massage therapy as well to take on both skincare and massage clients. I jumped on the opportunity since I had realized I had a Natural gift for massage as well: I was promoted to Lead Therapist. My first professional massage was on an NFL player. It wasn’t long before I developed a passion for massage therapy as well! Since then, I went in to work for other high-end 5-star spas in San Diego including the Hard Rock, Marriot, and more! All while also catering to my mobile clientele following. For 10 years, I focused on busikdijf my career in Some of the best Spa’s in San Diego, and my mobile business was part-time. I started providing mobile spa parties, peel parties for groups of ladies and always enjoyed providing mobile service; it’s where I felt I could serve my clients more! Meeting their needs using all of my trainings and experiences! I was able to work with the products I have seen deliver advanced results and help them achieve their goals! I noticed when working in spas that sometimes location would make it harder for my clients to come it. I saw a need and filled it! Me coming to them made it effortless in their part so they can enjoy their service versus trying to schedule in another appointment. I always had the idea in the back of my mind of one day going fully mobile. After 10 years of building everyone else’s dream it was time for me to build mine! While I worked for others, I had no work/life balance. That was very important to me. After I had grown, all I could working for spas the only way to continue to grow was to step out on my own. I took a leap of faith and went Full-time mobile! It has been about 7 years now, and it has been the best decision I have made! Since then, I have been able to expand my territory and help so many more people being mobile! I have been able to offer my clients a lot more by continuing my education and adding more advanced services, and give my clients the results they are looking for! I am a wife and a mother of two and after having my daughters, they motivate me to step out and do more so that not only can I continue in my career doing what I love and continue to grow and help my clients better and continue to be able to provide them with better results but also to be able to do more at home too! Time for my family while being able to serve my clients do my passion has always been my priory and my Why for my mobile business.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No! It has never been smooth! There has always been a lot of challenges. Even when I was an employee working under Big Businesses, there were challenges, but they weren’t my business, so when business was down, I had no control! Which was why I always had my hands in both! Being in the industry I am in comes with a lot of challenges in itself! Staying consistently booked, being able to balance work/life. There are busier seasons and slower seasons. One of the biggest challenges when I first started turning my mobile spa business from part-time to full-time was stepping into the business side of it. I love doing facials and massages, but it has been a learning curve learning the back end of business and marketing. I am constantly having to get myself out of my comfort zone and do the work I didn’t want to do: I love giving services and thought I could be done with office work but no. Now that I am self-employed running my own small business, I find myself wearing all the hats, including the office work. Being in a service industry comes with its own struggles when some of the time, I am working opposite schedule of family and make hard sacrifices to accommodate the demands of business. Starting over definitely when covid hit, and all my books were wiped away, and business cancelled! Was the biggest challenge! I was scary at first, but I reminded myself fear is not of God! Fear is a liar! I trusted in God. I waited it and served the needs in the appropriate time. A time came where mobile massage was highly sought after, but most of all was highly needed! So many people were in pain from sitting, working all the time, not leaving, lack of movement, stress, lack of sleep. I was able to serve them and remove their pain! It was such a blessing that my mobile spa business had been established, so people knew who to trust and who to call.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am a master dual licensed esthetician and massage. I specialize in advanced skin care services and therapeutic massage therapy for pain. I am known for my results-driven facial services and massage services that have clients feeling up to 90% improvement in a single session! What sets me apart is there is nothing basic about my services! My services are mobile yet high-end, and results-driven meets convenience which is luxury at your door service! A one-stop shop for all of your spa needs! I save clients time combining services and coming to them! My brand is top-of-the-line high-end quality services with professionalism with personal service. Services are customized and tailored to individual needs. My brand is about giving clients the transformation they have been wanting with their skin, removing pain, and preventing pain in the body. Balancing the wear and tear of work, lift, stress on the body. My massages and facials are not your “fluffy” service these are not watered-down spa services these are the real deal, results-driven!

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
I wish I had learned marketing.in this industry  We spend years perfecting our craft as estheticians and massage therapist but lacking in business training. I stay to those starting out learn as much as you can about Marketing. Drop the “employee” mentality and switch to business mind is not easy. Getting organized with a standard booking system. When I first started, I didn’t know how to market and going from working in a spa setting to only mobile, I had to come up with a new way of scheduling to include set up break down time, and travel. At first, taking on the volume I wanted seemed overwhelming now I travel all over San Diego County while most of my clientele is in Wast Chula Vista and North County. Some days I am able to schedule up to 7 services a day, including travel between skincare and massage… getting organized with business is key!
