Meet Bridgett Virissimo of Barrio Logan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bridgett Virissimo

Bridgett, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
After graduating high school I enrolling in beauty school, and I’ve been perfecting my craft for over 20 years. Throughout my career, I’ve gained expertise in a wide range of hair styling techniques, including Bridal updos, all gender haircuts and vivid vibrant hair colors. I also specialize in Halloween costume makeup, bringing creative visions to life. In 2021, I began my journey in permanent makeup, expanding my skill set. This passion led me to open Ink and Mane in 2024, where I continue to offer high-quality beauty services with a focus on innovation and personalization.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been great, I stayed consistent and never stoped educating myself , even through the pandemic and my business has been growing and has actually got busier since 2020 because our industry has lost over 30% of cosmetologists In California. It seems everytime a hairstylist or permanent makeup artist moves or leaves the profession I get busier. I can’t tell you how many times iv heard “my stylist moved”

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m known for being the jack of all trades, I can cut everyone in your family’s hair from your 1 years old to your grandmas hair and offer you a wide range of services from fun festival styles to powder brows, every once in a while I do a tiny tattoo on my friends but I focus more on permanent makeup. I’m so proud of my spot in barrio Logan, it is such a great salon in such a vibrant creative neighborhood and all my clients loves checking out and supporting other business in the area after their appointments.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
When I was really young I used to cut my bangs before I had school photos or family photos. Most my picture as a kid my bangs were all uneven and it was adorable
