Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney and Joshua Roche.
Brittney and Joshua, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I had been thinking about it for some time so when it came time to plan our son’s first birthday, I searched for a soft play company to rent from. When I saw how it worked, I was convinced that this is what I wanted to do. To bring a safe, clean and fun thing for younger kids and babies to play with was just what I was wanting.
Older kids have parks and bounce houses, while parents are usually unable to mingle with each other because they are holding, entertaining or chasing their young children. Joshua is in the navy so I really wanted to do something where I could have my children with me if needed and contribute to my family. My oldest son has severe eczema so I have appointments for him for his clinical trial during the week that a traditional job just wasn’t an option for me. Then when we had our youngest son, I knew I needed something that allowed me to stay home with them.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s been pretty smooth so far. The biggest hurdles was making sure we had a vehicle to accommodate carrying everything to and from parties and storage. Also carrying cases to store everything in are actually really hard to find lol.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
How I define success in my personal life is by raising good, hard-working boys (my kids). Professionally success to me is making sure my customers are happy and achieving our family goals.
Payton’s Playzone – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
You book on our website paytonsplayzone.com. Say you book a party from 2-6 PM. We show up at 1:00 PM. We set up in usually 30-45 minutes. We leave and return at 6:00 pm unless you let us know an hour prior that you would like to keep it longer then I send an updated invoice to you. We then sanitize and I pack up then leave. We specialize in soft play. Soft Play is a stimulating and safe environment for young kids.
What sets me apart from others is my pink set up. Customers really love it. I really took my time with that setup and found exactly what I wanted for it.
