Meet Bryan Barnes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Barnes.

Bryan Barnes

Hi Bryan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I’ve always loved drawing since a very early age. I grew up creating realistic pencil art drawings of NBA players and iconic film characters that inspired me. After receiving a college basketball scholarship, I continued to pursue my passion for art, creativity, and design and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design.

I began my professional career as a Senior Graphic Artist designing for The Walt Disney Company, where I designed for iconic Disney movies and TV shows, including Toy Story 3, WALL-E, Shake It Up starring Zendaya and Bella Thorne, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, as well as Marvel’s Spider-Man, Captain America, and Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3.

Today, I work as an Art Director and Designer for a wide range of industry-leading brands, including Disney, FOX Broadcasting Company, and Nike. I provide end-to-end art direction and hands-on digital and print design across comprehensive marketing touchpoints.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I believe obstacles and challenges are simply part of life, both professionally and personally. Positive visualization, a passion for creative excellence, aiming to leave a positive legacy on earth, being a leader and innovator, possessing timeless strength, a relentless drive, a strong family system, adhering to a straightedge lifestyle with an unwavering commitment to a healthy and vegetarian lifestyle, and effective daily life habits have all played important roles in my success.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Art Director, Designer, and Artist.

I’ve art directed and designed for renowned brands such as Disney, Marvel, FOX The Simpsons, Amazon Music, Snapchat, Nike, FOX Sports, UFC, MLB, FIFA Men’s World Cup, NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Gymshark. This has resulted in award-winning social content recognized by The Shorty Awards and Hashtag Sports Awards.

Beyond my career as an Art Director and Designer, I’m an Artist specializing in masterful hand-drawn pencil art and photography.

My creative work has garnered attention from notable figures such as Zendaya, Kourtney Kardashian, Robert Downey Jr., Millie Bobby Brown, Daniel Radcliffe, Andrew Garfield, and even made appearances on SNL and Jimmy Kimmel Live!

My work has also been featured by Adweek, Hypebeast, MTV News, Entertainment Tonight, and acclaimed fashion models Thylane Blondeau and Kate Li, along with celebrities like Bella Thorne, Rita Ora, Lil Yachty, and even Karl Lagerfeld’s cat, Choupette.

How do you define success?
In essence, success is a dynamic and continuous pursuit of excellence, driven by an unyielding determination to achieve the best possible outcomes across various facets of life. It is a journey that celebrates progress, embraces challenges, and constantly strives for greater heights.
