Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Karren. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Addalemon formed in 2016 in the greater Sacramento area. Our sound is influenced by Green Day, blink 182 and other 90s/ 00s pop punk/ punk bands. Our debut album Ripe was released in 2019 which was recorded and mixed by Mathew Spady at CSUMB and then mastered by Jack Shirley (Jeff Rosenstock, Joyce Manor, Remo Drive) at Atomic Garden Studios in Oakland California. We have toured up and down the west coast and we currently are working on a sophomore follow up to our first record.
Currently, the band consists of Cameron Karren on Guitar/ Vocals, Jake Kaspari on Bass/ Vocals and Carson Grimes on Drums.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We have had our ups and downs in the band including but not limited to playing a strip club, having our touring vehicles tires slashed, playing a show in the middle of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, members coming and going, being underpaid or not paid at all, having our debut album pressed on vinyl and many other stories.
The most important thing though is we don’t give up and we keep trying because all we wanna do is have fun and play music.

Currently, Cameron is working at a record store and a recording studio in Sacramento, Jake is working at a music store selling instruments and Carson is going to a private Jazz College in the Bay Area.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Don’t give up and don’t expect anything from anyone. If you try your hardest and put in effort, you will be rewarded in one way or another. And most importantly have fun!
