Meet Camille Marie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Camille Marie.

Camille, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve been in customer service since I was 16yrs old. Building relationships on an ever-growing platform has always been my niche. For the past two years, I have been recruiting & staffing travel nurses all across the US. Through this business, I have met some incredible people & have learned really valuable skills in the art of communication & networking.

Stepping out of your comfort zone, being vulnerable & honest (both in business & personal life) is not the easiest thing but it shows that YES I am human.

Along this path of networking with other incredible local woman, I was able to be apart of NIYA Beauty App. I love it when woman inspire other woman to love themselves & NIYA Beauty App does just that & more! NIYA allows us to be vulnerable & teaches us to be comfortable in our own GORGEOUS skin. Pairing it’s users with local industry experts for a personal one on one makeup tutorial.

Through this process, it has really opened my eyes to how many amazing badass women are in my city & all around us. It’s so important to step outside of ourselves & admire another persons greatness. My fellow San Diegans, I challenge you to engage in a conversation with someone that you normally wouldn’t even give a second glance to… they might just surprise you for the better.

Has it been a smooth road?
I naturally don’t like change, it’s scary to me. So branching out of my comfort zone is not fun. But I’m beginning to realize that in order to grow as an individual, I need to explore things that don’t come naturally to me.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
San Diego is so diverse! In one day you can come across so many people from different walks of life & I love that. I’m also not opposed to indulging in Some fish tacos & some fresh sushi. Not to mention you can visit the mountains & the beach all in one day.
