Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Cuellar.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Prior to Admcw, I was an SGT in the United States Marine Corps serving the Commanding officer of MAG 39 HQs as a fiscal chief. After serving 5 years I decided it was time for a change. After completing my marketing degree at Park University I was presented the opportunity to work for my father-in-law (Bulent Unsal) and help manage his business. Admcw is a small family based creative studio that provides visual design, advertising, photography and branding services across a full spectrum of print, motion, interactive and other media. The company first opened in 2010 in Istanbul, Turkey by Bulent Unsal.
While working remotely in the United States Bulent decided to open his business here in San Diego. Since then I have worked with him as a production manager, photo assistant, marketing manager. Through our working partners, I have been able to network and learn more about the business to the point that I am now freelancing as a 2nd Assistant director on commercials, short films and music videos. Our in-house studio has allowed me to learn from the master himself and venture into a career that has opened so many opportunities to me and my family.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Like any business, it has not been a smooth road. We have had many ups and downs along the way specifically getting into the US market. But with perseverance and relentless effort, we are starting to pave our own way in this market.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Admcw – what should we know?
AdmCW mostly provides service to corporate advertising yet we also work with small owned businesses. Our services fulfill the needs of the sectors by its photography, animations, visual effects, graphic designs and any kind of computer generated imaging.
Driven by our passion for design and animation we create impressing communication solutions with impact. Our widespread visualization skills help us in developing tailor-made visual concepts. Together with our clients we create ideas and implement them from A to Z with the highest possible balance of quality and budget.
All our projects are done in-house. Handling projects on a high professional level is one of our greater goals. It is important for us to accompany you through the whole production process. Our professionalism and attention to clients needs is what sets us apart from others, we work side by side with our clients to make their vision come to light.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
The biggest credit goes to the owner of the company Bulent Unsal and our president my wife Irem Cuellar. Bulent is a visionary and a mastermind with his work. He is the creator of all content and photographer. The person behind the machine and willing to teach. Once a top photographer in Istanbul, he has had the pleasure to photograph iconic models like Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Miss USA Olivia Jordan to name a few.
His creativity and his passion to continuously innovate is what drives us. Lastly, we wouldn’t be where we are without Irem Cuellar, her relentless effort to wear multiple hats and keep us motivated. Herself a director in the orthopedic department at Scripps La Jolla wills us to keep pushing for bigger projects. We also have to thank our PR rep Yuksell GunGoormus for his relentless effort to keep us relevant in Turkey to this day.
