Today we’d like to introduce you to Carmen Torres and Carmen Ramirez.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Carmen and Carmen. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We are a mother and daughter project that combines the talents of both. We named our brand CRMN after our names. Carmen (mother) designs, weaves, sews, and dyes everything we create. She has experience sewing since she designed fashion for many years, and her creative talent is key in the making of our pieces. Recently she attended a weaving workshop and learned how to weave with loom, and now she is learning how to dye fibers naturally. Carmen (daughter) helps with the design, manages social media, marketing, and photography.
Our brand has been evolving and changing since we started. At first, we were selling decorative pillows and scented candles. Later, we introduced fabric pieces like aprons, baskets, and banners. And this year, we added woven pillows and wall hangings, using the ancient technique of loom weaving. We are constantly innovating and learning how to improve our products by using natural fibers and dyes.
Has it been a smooth road?
We had found some challenges along our journey. At the beginning, the lack of time was our main problem. We both had full time jobs and didn’t have enough time for the brand. Another struggle we had was with suppliers. It was difficult to find good quality materials to keep the high standard of the products. Fortunately we have managed to solve them to continue growing as a brand.

We specialize in home décor goods because we have always been interested in decoration. We enjoy being surrounded by art, color, natural light, plants, antiques, and family heirlooms. We reflect all what we love in our creations. Due to our perfectionist personality we focus on details. If one of our pieces doesn’t meet our own quality standard, it has to be done again. Each piece is carefully handmade with natural fibers like wool, cotton, and linen. We’ve already started experimenting with natural ingredients to dye our fibers, which is our next goal, having so far good results. We’re very proud of what we have achieved so far and knowing that our customers are pleased with our products is inspiring and rewarding. We believe that quality and attention to detail are what set us apart from other brands.
