Hi Catelyn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I wanted to be in the beauty industry since I was 16 years old. I did not know what exactly I wanted to do but I knew I loved doing my makeup, hair, nails, & lashes! In the year 2020, I released my very own lip gloss business, named “LuxuryKisssed”. I knew most lip gloss brands were processed & had lots of chemicals but I wanted to stand out & be different. Luxurykisssed is all handmade, vegan, & cruelty free! By the time I knew it I had over 50 orders in less than a month! I was so proud of myself that lots of people loved my products & only had good things to say about it!! In 2021 I wanted to push myself & expand my business. I got trained to eyelash extensions by a local lash technician. It was very hard at first but I kept practicing & learning new techniques to make my business even better. I made over 10 appointments in the first 2 weeks! . It made me feel so good that I can make people feel more beautiful & confident!
Now being in 2022 I can finally say that I accomplished my dream at the age of 21 years old.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I started my lip gloss business, “luxurykisssed” it was hard at first but I knew everything was at first! I spent weeks learning different ways to make the best & hydrating lip gloss! It took me about 8 tries to finally find the perfect formula that I loved! Ever since then the formula has stayed the same & my supporters love how hydrating soft & feeling every lip gloss was!
When I started my eyelash extension journey is was very hard. I studied every single night to find ways to make the eyelash extensions unique & full! I wanted to give up so many times because I would see other San Diego lash technicians that were so much better than me.. but I knew everybody is different in their own ways. I never ever gave up! I started doing giveaways & lash specials to gain my clientele up! Next thing I knew I have 3 clients every week!

I was born & raised in San Diego, CA. I love my city! I love the people here & love how much support there is in this city! One thing I would say that I least like about our city is how covid spreads so easily here due to the population. But I know covid won’t be in our city forever!
