Meet Chelz Franzer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelz Franzer.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’m Chelz Franzer – a passionate acrylic artist on a mission to make the world a more colorful place. What inspires me the most as an artist in the world surrounded by me. The skies, nature, beaches, animals, etc. (everything and anything.) The world can be such a beautiful place if you view it at the right perspective. There is too much dark, negative things in this life already. Which is why I wanted to start creating through my eyes, my perspective which consists of bright, fun colors that you can’t help but make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Living & creating colorfully is who I am.

Please tell us about your art.
I’m a Southern California freelance artist and illustrator, creating colorfully in a pop art style. Painting animals and scenic photography are my specialties but I tend to create whatever makes my heart happy, with a vibrant color palette and some acrylic paint. My art is created with heart, every time.

I even instruct private art lessons and have my own mobile painting party business: The Paint Sesh.

What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
Social media was a great way for artists to get their art out there that might not have the time or money to set up for art walks, art fairs, etc. But now that Instagram changed its algorithm it’s been harder and harder for artists to get their posts seen without having to pay ads. If there were more events out there for artists just starting out that didn’t cost them an arm and a leg to participate that would be very beneficial to all the creative newbies out there that just need that one break!

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
I reside in Riverside, CA but I travel to the Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, San Diego areas for various art walks, or art shows, etc. I am looking to move back to my home in Long Beach, CA in the very near future.

If you are wanting a colorful custom art piece created, I can ship to you! (anywhere in the US).
