Meet Chris Burgos of Souther California

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Burgos.

Hi Chris , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was in the military for almost 9 years doing combat search and rescue. I had a wonderful military career but unfortunately I got medically separated for Crohns disease and not on the best terms (They discharged me in 12 hours with no benefits or guidance). I became a loan officer during that time, went through a divorce, almost lost my home, had two of my best friends pass away, lost the most secure career, and was forced to adapt to a new environment. The Mortgage company I worked for took terrible advantage of me for a bit over a year, then I jumped ship to my first real estate team. I was very blessed in doing a good amount of business but I was unfortunately carrying the team that was eventually dumped on me until I left and the team followed. Since then, I have helped countless families change their lives (through real estate, business development, educating about Veteran benefits, etc.) and have seen them carry on teaching others the same. I recently was blessed with being in the top 4% Agents in the world and the top 1% in San Diego and don’t plan on taking it easy anytime soon

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. My physical health has been challenged more times than I’d like to count on the verge of death (Literally as recent as 3 weeks ago) and I’m only 30 years old. I’ve supported my family since I was 15 and have faced the challenges and changes, watching my dad go to prison, losing important people in my life, investments going sideways, on the brink of bankruptcy, there has been a lot but still beyond blessed

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I love helping people who struggle financially and don’t think that homeownership or financial freedom is realistic for them. I would choose creative because we have helped the least likely people become financially free and have seen them strive through so much! I would also say Artist with some of the projects we’ve done with properties, turning what was once an ugly home into someones dream home

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Just be reaching out! I’m never too busy for anyone with a good heart and intentions
