Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Dammann.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
As long as I can remember I’ve loved taking photos, and I feel my happiest when I am behind my camera. I grew up capturing memories of my own family and that passion turned into documenting memories for friends, their friends, and so on. 🙂 I treasure that photographs give us visual memories of our favorite people, places, and pets. Through the years I discovered my absolute favorite thing to photograph is a family’s connection- their love- their laughter. I LIVE to photograph families having fun together. 🙂
Please tell us about your art.
I help fun and adorable families create and savor memories. I am a family photographer who strives to give families an amazing experience. My art relies on people being comfortable in front of my camera so I keep my sessions relaxed, and fun. I want to my clients to have images of real moments in their lives- enjoying each other, playing, being silly, and laughing- A LOT! There is no bigger compliment then when a client tells me they had more fun than they expected.
What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
I don’t know about all artists, but I’m very happy with the conditions for my business. Social media has been a great way for me to grow my business and attract clients all over the country. I’ve joined groups of creative entrepreneurs that encourage the community over competition mindset [like The Rising Tide Society] which has been amazing for connecting with other creatives, supporting and learning from each other.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
You can see my work on my website [portfolio + blog], Instagram, Facebook. People can support my work by engaging on social media channels. Also, I love referrals! <3
