Today we’d like to introduce you to Claudia Camarillo.
Claudia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always had a knack for business and helping others the most I can. Being the middle child, my dad always had me helping him with computers, bills, anything I could wrap my mind around. Growing up, I had a great childhood, given the opportunities I had at a young age I knew I wanted to be in business management. Being a single mom, I still worked full time and obtained my degrees and certification in HR. Now, being a mama of soon to be four, I wanted to make the most of my time being at home but still doing what I love. With the support of my family and husband, I created my consulting company knowing I would be able to help my community and show my kids that you can do whatever you set your mind too.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing is ever smooth, I definitely had my challenges. I always second guess myself in my endeavors, I wanted to give up many times. Coming from a family that doesn’t always speak on emotion it was difficult at times to ask for help. Luckily, I met my husband and he has supported my crazy ideas and pushed me to do what he knew I would be successful at.
Camarillo Consulting – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I created an HR/Business Management Consultation Company that provides training and knowledge for small businesses. Given my background within the employment agency field, I have met a lot of great mentors and have listened to a lot of complaints that I realized, I can help businesses be successful without them failing due to noncompliance issues.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is loving yourself and loving the product or idea you represent as an individual and as a company. Your core values which you instill define your character and ultimately the brand your marketing.
