Today we’d like to introduce you to Craig Saloner.
Craig, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
One of our co-founder’s, Craig Saloner, was commissioned to develop curriculum for an up and coming residential development in Scripps Ranch. The development included education as a core component of residency. The Campus of Life and it’s residential counterpart Ascent Luxury were seeking to create community like no other. Craig gathered a team of experts in the fields of education, community building, health and wellness. The conversation continued to develop around adult learning, lifelong education and optimal well-being.
As the residential project was still being built, the team realized the need for a brick and mortar location to gather teachers, healers, and speakers to develop the education platform. We found a beautiful 7000m/2 location in Carlsbad CA and began developing our four-quadrant methodology of learning that integrated the body, mind, heart and spirit. The Station Co-Lab was born.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been smooth, but as the Roman philosopher Seneca the Younger once said, “It is the rough road that leads to the heights of greatness.” We have been down multiple paths trying to figure out how to attract the right audience, while still generating enough revenue to keep the doors open. With a large vision it has been a challenge to clearly identify the best first steps, tangible actions and concise messaging needed to be successful. It has taken numerous build, measure, learn iterations to be able to establish the structures needed for future growth.

We are an event center and digital production house for speakers, teachers,corporations, coaches and wellness practitioners. We give them a platform to practice, perform and promote their art in a state of the art facility. We have digital recording equipment, a fully equipped stage, pod-cast room, and multi-purpose rooms to facilitate classes, events, retreats and workshops. Much of the content is recorded and sits on our educational platform.
Our knowledge can support organizations in utilizing proven tools in wellness, communication and mindfulness to enhance team performance and cohesion.
The Station Co-Lab has been an ever-evolving platform to support others in sharing their greatest gifts. We are proud to say we are developing state of the art education and services using proven methodologies. We are also very excited to be extending our offerings to youth leaders in the new year. In addition, 10% of proceeds from our product, event and service sales goes towards furthering our youth leadership program.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Carlsbad is a prime location. There are many speakers, writers, coaches, entrepreneurs with much to say. Our unique venue is an ideal place for people to share their greatest gifts.
In addition there are many consciously aware companies in the area. We feel like we are in a good position to support these organizations in furthering their mission.
