Cynthia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The Siren Confidential was started almost three years back as a creative outlet for me. I was in a corporate job (YAWWWWWN) and was looking for a way to share my love for all things fitness, fashion, lifestyle, travel and of course my love for helping animals…. rescue puppies are my jam!
I want to inspire women of all ages and backgrounds to live full out….. whether that includes fashion, travel, volunteering for their passion project or quitting their corporate job to pursue their passion and purpose.
We ALL have a bigger purpose and I encourage every woman to find that within herself and just go for it.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Definitely NOT! I think everyone thinks blogging is so easy. I spend hours every day engaging with my audience to create the community that I’ve fostered. I spend hours after I post engaging with my audience and other bloggers.
I’m ALL ABOUT supporting the local community and specifically women-owned businesses and giving back in any way I can. It also takes a lot of time to photograph, and edit photos to fit my aesthetic.
It’s a lot of time and creative effort, but its 112% been worth it. I’ve grown my brand into something I’m proud of, and love getting messages from my readers that a quote I posted inspired them, or even helping the local rescues has inspired a reader to do the same.
That’s the ultimate reward for me, to know that I’ve inspired or helped someone else who may be going through a rough patch. Its also been amazing connecting with so many people across the globe. Anywhere I travel, I have friends now!

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The Siren Confidential story. Tell us more about the business.
The Siren Confidential is lifestyle blog for the modern consumer. I’m an entrepreneur, blogger, lover of coffee, traveling, San Diego, sushi, fitness, fashion and wine.
(And of course rescue puppies!)
I happen to also be an extremely well-informed consumer and I do a ton of research in fashion, fitness, travel, beauty, food and wellness and I love sharing my insights with my readers.
People ask me how I come up with my name… A Siren is defined as a woman who is considered to be alluring or fascinating, but also dangerous in some way.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
HA! I don’t believe in luck! I have worked my pants off since the day I turned 16, and believe in working hard to turn your dreams into reality.
I believe if you want something bad enough, you’ll find a way to make it happen. If not…. you’ll find an excuse.
