Today we’d like to introduce you to D-Rough.
An artist’s hailing from San Diego, CA a.k.a. America’s finest city began writing lyrics at the age of 11 while listening to some of the pioneers in the game. He began developing his writing skills and writing rhymes as a hobby up until 03′ where he purchased recording equipment and began putting songs and freestyles together. In the summer of 06′ he got his first record spun on San Diego’s one hip-hop radio station z90.3 titled “we grind.” the people of San Diego embarrassed the club banger and it continued to get spins for about two weeks straight. He then took it a step further and started doing shows in the fall of 06′, and putting projects together. D-rough has opened up for artist e-40, three six mafia, Paul wall and freeway. Shoutout to tre from z90 san Diego’s #1 for hip-hop and r&b radio station who gave him his first look at radio. Since then, he’s releases four solo mixtapes, and three group mixtapes, and two E.P.’s “Self-Explanatory” and “No Explanation” out now on all Dsp’s. The ultimate goal is to take this movement to the upper echelon of hip-hop.
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been a challenge trying to get established in the industry from home base in San Diego. I’ve gone to music conferences in L.A. and Miami to expand my network and knowledge of the music industry.

I’m known for my 1st single put it on my tab which had a HD video in 2009. One of the first independent artists in my city to do it on that scale.
