Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana Law.
Dana, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
29 years ago I started performing full time. I’ve been a magician since my youth but went professional in my mid 30’s. I’d had a succession of sales jobs. Worked for the family business but found out I was best-selling myself as a performer.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a smooth road but a slow one. It took a long time to produce a good income. The saying goes in Magic. “Behind every successful magician is a woman with a job.” I owe her a great deal for her faith in me. The last five years have been excellent. Thanks to social media and great testimonials my business has been off the charts.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Amazing Dana Magic Shows – what should we know?
I’m a Magician and Mentalist. I do magic shows for all ages. I can celebrate a birthday, perform outdoors at a fair or festival, do a school assembly or perform at the business meeting and convention. As David Winston – Mentalist I read minds with the Mind-to-Mind show. 45 minutes of mindreading, telepathy, audience participation and a whole lot of fun.
I’m proud of the fact that I run a business professionally. My customers get a good show tailored them and good service. They don’t have to worry about me doing a great job for them.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Hard work, constant learning, and improvement and attention to detail. Never taking anything for granted. Being my toughest critic.
