Meet Daniela Garcia Allie of Amador Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Garcia Allie.

Daniela Garcia Allie

Hi Daniela, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up on a beautiful cul-de-sac in Del Mar, California. During high school, I would go to the beach every day after school, usually with a Board and Brew sandwich, watching my brother surf as I sketched on a blanket on the sand or went for a swim. I love to remember the winter days during that time, where, despite the freezing cold temperatures, I would swim just for the rush it gave me.

I went to the University of San Diego High School (UNI), and when it moved to being Cathedral Catholic, I was in the first senior class. I wasn’t the best test taker; although I studied a lot, I just wasn’t great in school. Luckily, I was very social and involved in extracurricular stuff like golf, student body, wrote for the newspaper, stuff like that. I was advised to only apply to one school, University of San Diego, and my counselor told me that my test scores weren’t really even good enough to get in. I might get wait-listed.

Sure enough, I did get waitlisted, and I was kinda bummed. Everyone I knew was wearing their college sweatshirts, and my admittance was a maybe, and I would find out during the summer after graduation. But, as luck would have it, in the final three weeks of my senior year, my English teacher assigned us to write an appeal letter. I decided to write the appeal letter to the person who was in charge of the admissions at USD. It was just an assignment, I thought. Weeks later, I got a call from my parents while I was hanging with a friend in Coronado, and they were over the moon; I’d gotten into school, had a regular start date, and everything. One of those big welcome envelopes came to my door.

Apparently, my English teacher liked my letter and decided to put a stamp on it and send it out! In my letter, I urged the admittance counsel to look at my extracurricular involvement, letting them know I was a people person who would create a sense of community in my class through my involvement. It worked, and so began my story.

I majored in Communications and took almost enough to minor in Theology. The Communication focus of my degree was all about images and influences of media on society. This was pre the social media era, 2006, and so I was ahead of the curve when it came to identifying how what’s put out there can really change society in a big way. I have found so much fascination in being curious about that since the release of the iPhone in 2007. I wrote a paper about it because I found the shift so immense. People were different, and I could feel it.

My interest in Theology began at a young age. I was always curious about other people’s religions and practices. At Cathedral, we were encouraged to talk to people of different practices and even attend services to get an expanded understanding of how tradition comes in different forms.

My connection to my spirituality always told me that there was more out there, and little did I know that my interests in college would inform so much of my story in the future. In 2008, I went through a really deep depression, and I begged my parents to let me take a semester off. I needed some time to get re-centered and find myself. It didn’t take long, luckily, and I spent the semester taking creative writing classes and photography at Miracosta. Here, I established my longing for creativity to become a part of my life.

I met my husband, Jon Allie, at a New Year’s Eve party in Encinitas. It was right when I started to feel really bright and like me. We began dating in June of 2009, and his support of my creativity made such a difference. He is a very solid person with a clear and confident vision. He isn’t afraid to go full throttle towards the things he wants, and it’s for sure rubbed off on me!

I returned to USD after my time off and got a job as a leasing consultant in 2011. I worked at Civita, a development in Mission Valley and was part of the team that got the first residents of the community in. I met tons of amazing people with cool careers who became residents, and it got me thinking of what I would like to do, something really rad with my life. I would ask them tons of questions about how they got to where they were, and within a year, I devised a plan to leave my job and become a creative.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to do it or what I wanted to focus on, but I knew that I loved writing, drawing, and movies. I decided that first, I needed to get creatively unblocked.

I found the book The Artist Way through a group led by Judith Balian of Encinitas. All the women in the circle were at least 30 years older than me. I was a 25-year-old attending women’s circles with women who had a ton of wisdom and experience. That book and the circle in which it was given had a profound impact of my creative awakening and connection to who I am today.

I became an assistant to Judith for her women’s retreats and circles, and I learned a lot through watching her facilitate. I also began writing a novel in 2014. I spent 2 years writing that book, and upon its completion, my big dreams had reached a pinnacle. In 2016, I attended the San Diego Writers Conference in Mission Valley. I pitched my completed novel to agents and had also sent out my manuscript to over 100 agencies. I was rejected by everyone.

I took this to heart and was creatively broken. This began a series of health issues and complications that lasted 6 mysterious months. Ultimately, I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma.

My battle with cancer was the beginning of a connection to my intuition and dharma, life purpose. In the moment of my diagnosis, I was truly happy because I knew there was something big wrong all along. It validated my intuition and connection to myself.

During chemo, I discovered that there was more to life than what was presented on the surface. I practiced meditation, and that helped me to get through the tough chemo infusions at Scripps La Jolla. I was very supported through my chemo and cancer journey by my husband, family, and friends. It gave me life, hope, and a vision for my future. A few weeks after chemo ended, I was invited by BeWell, an Oceanside-based non-profit that provides support to cancer patients. to the Chopra Center in Carlsbad. It was there that I truly went into a deep meditative state for the first time and had a profound vision of my dharma to inspire connection.

I took a few more months to heal, and within a year of finishing chemo, I launched Amador Collective, my greeting card company!

I connected with tons of shops and people in different communities around San Diego that carried and supported my brand. Those were the magical days of launching my brand, putting my words and doodles onto products and spreading the Amador love.

Amador means lover in Spanish, and I am a lover of life. Amador was also the street we lived on in Vista. So, San Diego is really a big part of my story and journey.

In 2019, my meditation practice deepened when I found frequency work, a type of energy healing work that allows us to shift and bloom very quickly. I became obsessed with the meditations and listened to them relentlessly.

In meditation I realized I needed to be more connected to nature and I made the decision to move to Wisconsin, where Jon was born. I wanted to live among the trees, have space to be even more creative and serene in my connection to spirit. Jon was in full support and very excited about this decision.

We moved to Sturgeon Bay, WI in November of 2020 and live on 7 acres of pristine property. We visit San Diego about every other month for a few weeks at a time.

In 2023, I was approached by a crystal shop about offering Frequency Work to people. I realized that I had the ability to heal myself (we all do) and am able to do it for others too! I do what I call HyFi (Heighten Your Frequency Intuitively).

This is energy work that inspires through using the imagination for healing meditation.

The frequency healing happens through the HyFi as well as expressive art that is done in sync with the meditations. My work is offered in series, events, or one-on-ones. All about clarifying each person’s vision to bring about a brighter and richer life.

It is through my own growth, experiences and transmutation of difficulty into success that I help people who are seeking deeper connection to themselves and find more passion in life. I host inspiring wellness retreats that help people to reconnect with the passion in their lives. I find so much satisfaction in sharing this work with other people.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As I described in my story, my life has been a series of mountains to climb. But now, with the tools that I’ve cultivated and put into practice, I know how to be within balance even when the tough stuff comes my way. Though stuff is always going to happen, mental health, physical health, feeling lost, rejection, loneliness, I’ve experienced all of it, it is in the satisfaction of coming through that has helped me gain confidence and clarity in the choice I’ve made to be who I am now.

Navigating the experience of being human and finding flow beyond the chatter of the mind and outside world can be a challenge, but it is possible to quiet that outside world and be led by the spark of our intuition.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I had two sectors of my creative expression: Amador Collective, which is an eclectic and playful greeting card company infused with color and good vibes. With Amador Collective, my aim is to create greeting cards that connect people through the heart. My cards stoke up creative fire within that allows people to express themselves on a heart-to-heart level. My journals are thoughtfully made, and each is made by hand by me. It is a meditation of creative expression. I intend to keep on expressing myself through this brand and creating cool stuff!

Daniela Garcia Allie is my frequency work. It’s how I share HyFi and inspire people to experience the grand magnificence of who they are. I would call myself a Frequency Stylist. I take who you are and enhance it, clearing blocks so you can feel more like you, and know how to uncover the areas of your life that are stuck and keeping you from that clarity. Some of us are familiar with energy, feel it a lot and know how to name it, others of us can just sense things.

HyFi brings us into an elevated and expansive state, give us the opportunity to do an energetic release and also a space of wholeness.

I love connecting with people, friends and clients, I go with the flow of time and allow the process of unfolding to happen in as long as is needed. People love my work because my meditations and sessions are very imagination based yet relaxing, if you can’t quiet your mind or are afraid, you’ll drift off, I’ve heard that this doesn’t happen with my meditations because I speak and turn on your imagination so that you can be here with me. In it, just like this article if you’re still reading. It’s engaging, and it’s personal, and that’s magic.

I want people to know that it is possible to live a life filled with possibility, opportunity, magic, and fulfilling inspiration. There is more beyond what we’re accessing, and we can use the disempowering or negative experiences to fuel ourselves. There is a gift in being empathic or highly sensitive, and we just need to learn to create space from other people’s energy and work with that to become strong and confident people! Sometimes, we stay stuck because it’s comfortable and familiar, but what if that stuck energy could be used as fuel for courage to move on to the next step?

I feel that there is so much possibility to be received and I am so grateful for all of my experiences. I am here to serve humanity in its turn towards confidence, inspiration and connection. I offer one on one sessions, have a Creative Awakening Retreat coming up in Sedona June 5-9. I regularly offer meditation series online and am building community for expressive art classes and inspiration meditation. Subscribe to YouTube for an upcoming weekly series starting in July.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love San Diego for its coastal access. Paradise is driving on the 101 on the way to the beach on a Friday at 4 pm. I love the ocean, and Del Mar will always be my home! Cruising Grand is a favorite Friday night date destination. I love how there is so much to do, but it all feels so close together.

I also love the fantastic food. Birdseye Kitchen, Nectarine Grove, Fish 101 and Puesto are my favorite spots to eat. Choice Juicery makes the best organic smoothies, PBJ with Blue Magic!!

I love a good picnic day at Balboa Park or Powerhouse Park in Del Mar.

What I like least about the city is seeing garbage around downtown, off the side of the freeway, or on any beaches. Our city deserves respect and better treatment! I love this city, and I will always do my best to pick up after myself.
