Meet Danielle M Thompson of TriSon RoeCo Investments in San Diego County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle M Thompson.

Danielle, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Well, I believe business ownership has always been in my blood. My grandfather, who was a veteran of the Navy, use to own his gas station and automotive repair shop. I used to be the child that always had that go get it mentality. I didn’t realize that everything I did (from knocking on doors selling stuff as a child, with a red wagon to neighbors, saving up my lunch money and much more), played a part in where I am today. However, it was not until I began working at a private mortgage company from 2006-2007, that I started on my journey to becoming a business owner. After my family lost my grandfather in 2003. My grandmother became a victim of predatory lending and lost her home in 2010. This propelled me into this real estate business to make sure no one, not my family, friend, acquaintances, I mean no one would go through what I saw my grandmother/family go through. That ignited a flame and I began studying to prepare for the real estate exam. I took my time until one more major circumstance changed my life forever in 2011. Then in 2012, I finally took my exam and passed on the first try, while undergoing tremendous obstacles. Fast forward to now, after seven years in the real estate industry, I haven’t look back since. I am a Real Estate Broker and owner of my own brokerage/company in 2019.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Smooth road? What’s that lol. I do not think I have ever had a smooth road and I am extremely grateful for the struggles because those challenges and obstacles play a huge role, shaping me into the woman I am today. In the struggles I experienced, I learned more about myself, my character and more.

One of the struggles I experienced was living out of my car during my first year of being a realtor. Imagine trying to sell homes without having a home. Talk about a mental challenge. However, during this time I was going to school, working and passed my real estate exam. I never let my circumstances define or dictate who I was or my future. I struggled very hard in my first year of real estate and no one knew about my situation. I never let anything stop me, I just went harder. My why and how I got into real estate is much different than the “norm” people are used to hearing. The resilience, persistence, perseverance and patience, just to name a few of the qualities, that lay deep within me untouchable.

In any business or just life, in general, you are going to experience struggles and that’s okay. It is about continuing the journey no matter what, using what you’ve learned during the struggles and applying it to your life. What I experienced was for me and to prepare me for my purpose.

Tell us about your company. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
My company TriSon RoeCo Investments is a Real Estate Firm. We specialize in not only helping people accomplish their real estate goals but learning how to use their biggest investment to their benefit. It’s more than just a home buying experience. We want our clients to learn how to utilize their assets to build wealth.

My company, although it’s still in the beginning stages, is a firm that offers help to homeowners as well as home buyers on more of a longevity type of basis. This makes me proud because I will have a business that is based on the needs of the community and truly helps people understand and manage their home as an asset/investment.

What sets TriSon RoeCo Investments apart, is our why, our drive, our motives. We treat people how we want to be treated. We have a lot of generational cycles to break and we are determined to do so.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I do not believe in luck. I believe in lessons and blessings from the Lord. Regardless, if things are good or bad, I will always remain grateful because I am being prepared and set up for my purpose, including but not limited to what I have prayed for, put in the effort and never gave up on, so in my opinion luck played no part in this storyline:-) You have to go through things, to grow through things, if that makes sense.
