Meet Dannie Baisa of Reddirttat2

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dannie Baisa.

Dannie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Hafa Adai my name is Dannie Baisa. I was raised in the beautiful island of Guam. I relocated to San Jose where I graduated with my BA in Graphic Design. From there I met my mentor in Tattooing, Ariel Cruz from Cruz Creations. I would travel back and forth to San Diego to tattoo friends and family and eventually met my wife and that’s when San Diego became my second home.

I opened my first shop in Chula Vista back in 2012 and moved to National City 2016. I do a variety of different kinds of tattoos but specialize in modern Filipino/ Polynesian Tribal. I am currently in Guam where I opened a new shop located in the heart of Tumon, where I’ve always wanted to build a team. My family and I will definitely be back in San Diego again soon!

Has it been a smooth road?
It wasn’t always easy, I had to build a new client tell in San Diego. I was truly blessed that there wear a lot of people from Guam who help spread the word that I was tattooing/opening up shop now in San Diego. Things got smooth quickly and I was able to build my first Reddirttat2 San Diego team.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
Tattoo artist and owner of Reddirt Tat2. I specialize in Modern Filipino/ Polynesian tattoos but also can get down with anything from Japanese to black and grays. I’m proud to say I’ve opened up a couple shops now and just opened a shop in Guam. I plan to relocate back to San Diego in the near future and reopen.
