Hi David , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Owner/ Head Hitting Instructor David Ring grew up in University City & it’s where his passion & love for baseball began. He played for UCLL & UC High School until 1998. After high school he went on to play Division III baseball at the University of Redlands as a utility player, Years later looking for jobs he saw an ad in the Union Tribune for travel baseball coach and that’s where it’ all began, He was coaching travel ball for many years ages 9-16U and having a blast. David Ring Player Development was established in 2009 in Miramar & We now work with softball and baseball players from all over the country!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur is tough Especially in the first 5 years of business. There were many times where I didn’t think the business was going to be successful. Fortunately, I grew up watching my dad as an entrepreneur in the real estate industry. He showed me how to be resilient and most Importantly, believe in myself. It’s help me develop the ability to manifest success and continue to grow the business
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We train elite baseball/softball players & specialize in Swing/Hitting Instruction for ages 6U up to MLB. We cater to each hitters specific needs, help create a proper routine, and most importantly start creating good habits in practice. We use in depth video analysis, Blast Motion technology, and Radars to visually connect all of the training together. We are super proud of the 100’s of high school athletes we have helped get into College!
What are your plans for the future?
We just moved into a NEW 2500 sq ft facility with 3 Tunnels & state of the art training equipment . In the future we plan to open another satellite facility.
