Meet Deion Stratton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Deion Stratton.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
In my early years as a kid, I can remember taking pictures of disposable Fujifilm and Kodak cameras. I also remember taking photos, but having no idea how they turned out as I used so many I never really got the chance to develop them. Fast forward to me being 20 years old was when I really started to fall in love with The art of photography learning it in college as an elective. My class would study and go on field trips, But I wasn’t taught enough so the more I learned about photography the more I started to take it upon my self to become self-taught.

Then my elective class was over and all my weekends started to consist of checking out camera equipment and from there on I was determined to learn the manual functions of a camera Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance, exposure! For the first 6 months on my own, I practiced taking landscape photography, light trails, street and minimal photography while capturing photos with a great friend of mine Noah whose also a great photographer.

Now I still have the same love for photography as I did almost 3 years ago. Meeting wonderful people, taking portraits, shooting weddings, maternity, fashion, branding, and corporate events. For the future, I plan to continue being creative with my photography and working on creating the first photo book of my favorite moments that I’ve captured.

Please tell us about your art.
I would describe my photography as bold, colorful, and detailed. I am a very versatile photographer who has worked in so many categories of photography such as portraits, weddings, family, couples, maternity, events, branding, and etc.

Each moment that I capture happens so fast, but when you get that photo you know is the one it will show emotion and meaning to tell a story. My message to future clients is you won’t be disappointed with my creativity and the Primetime 4 Photography experience.

As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
I define success as living my true purpose and having a positive impact on the lives of other people by uplifting them and inspiring them to think and act in ways that they may not have considered before. I also want to one day do that by holding a photography workshop for kids so they can display themselves as a young artist.

My characteristics of success would be a storyteller, embracing change, having a vision, communicating, self-control, look listen learn, network network network!

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My work is displayed on three platforms: my website, my Instagram, my Facebook page.

You can book with me through my email and you can support me by purchasing prints of my landscape photos or street photography.

Thank you all in advance!
