Meet Dewayne and Linda Booker of DLBooker Enterprise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dewayne and Linda Booker.

Dewayne and Linda, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We started out just trying to run an online retail store. Every company needs customers, so we needed an outlet to get noticed. We took a few of our products out to the local swap meet. Our few product items grew to the point that we needed a brick and mortar. Now we are online and we added a brick and mortar.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t always been easy. In the retail business, it can be a little stressful, especially being on the West Coast. In this business of retail, fashion and design change. So whats new on the East Coast can take a while to get to the West Coast. Getting the right distributor is key.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with DLBooker Enterprise – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
DLBooker Enterprise specializes in Gentlemen and Ladies Apparel, Accessories, Home Decor, and Artwork. We are a family business, and as far as we know, we are the only black-owned Men and Women Clothing store in San Diego, CA. We have a motto which says” Explore the Difference”.

What that means to us, is that you (the customer) have been to retail stores were you are not important but your dollar is. We’re changing the game. We care about you and how you feel when you try on that outfit. It’s not about getting a sale, it’s about having a friend that trust our opinions, and trust that we will not steer them wrong.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Right now we are testing the water in children apparel. Mainly possible creating a baby department, with blankets, oneness, baby booties and more. We are always pushing ourselves to see what our customers like. From this we know that eventually we will eventually expand.
