Meet Don Tulac

Today we’d like to introduce you to Don Tulac.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
My strong desire to be a photographer started when I bought my first DSLR in 2010. At first, I was doing photography for my family and landscape photography when we travel.

I usually get great comments from friends and I thought of becoming a professional one so I thought I wanted to be a portrait photographer. I started to watch youtube views and went to photography classes to know the technical know how. Since then, I studied other works of photographers and watched their online tutorials.

Please tell us about your art.
I mostly do portrait and events like a wedding. I am always drawn to geometric figures so I love creating pictures that have leading lines or shapes. I like my pictures to be clean and simple but impactful. I want people to see my work and see that any ordinary Joe or Jane can look beautiful without being overly stylized and made up. I want them to be the simplest person they can be and still have a picture that may land them on a front page of a magazine.

We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
I suggest that they join online photographer clubs or local ones if they have in the community.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
People can see my work through my website or Facebook/Instagram page.
