I’ve had a career in Mortgage Finance for over 15 years, but about four years ago, I began searching for natural holistic healing modalities. I got Certified in Reiki, Crystal Healing, Yoga, and Reflexology. This all lead me to find my passion for creating chakra body jewelry using natural crystals which encourages self-care and self-love. I love helping others to connect with their inner Goddess and feel beautiful from within.
Has it been a smooth road?
My new creative passion started early last year and progressed fast into a new business with custom order requests and recognition from the fashion industry and runway shows. With fast growth, I have learned not all people may have my best interest at heart so learned that who I collaborate, work with, and have on my team is very important. It is crucial that the people close to my business are trustworthy, uphold integrity, and are dependable.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the DawnStar story. Tell us more about the business.
My company DawnStar™️ is a jewelry based company that specializes in Body Adornments like Body Necklaces and Hand Chains that are handmade with love and Reiki energy using all natural crystals and semiprecious stones.
I incorporate my background in Crystal Healing to create high vibrational jewelry that can be customized according to chakras and energy. I use high-quality materials like 14k Gold Filled Chain and Sterling Silver to offer pieces that last using a hand wire wrap technique unlike the lower quality body jewelry on the market that is massed produced with lower grade material. My pieces are all one of a kind as they are made with natural crystals.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see my online store growing and being international. I see my custom orders being very detailed to each person’s individual needs and a larger Special Occasion collection. I love collaborating with other artists and believe when we bring our gifts together and support each other, we all win. So I see our brand doing more collaborations with conscious businesses and projects to give back to causes and communities.
