As she got older, she played sports in high school making the varsity team her Freshman year. She went on to secure a double scholarship to a San Diego based college playing for four years and winning National Titles. After college, she played volleyball in internationally after college. Being in sports her whole life, she is passionate about what the athletes are wearing the equipment they are using and how it works for the game they’re playing. That is why she’s dedicated her expertise and passion for the game to now producing high-quality apparel and other related products.

Has it been a smooth road?
Some struggles were in the midst of opening this my designer’s location was burned down, and they were injured in riots. The manufactures were shut down, there was a shortage of elastic due to mass mask making. Also, the other main business I run was shut down so the money we thought we would have for this start was not there. But in the midst of all these, I decided we were still going to launch because it wasn’t the first time in my 20 years of creating companies that I had hit some bumps in the road. I eventually found a local group to work with, I found manufacturers that we’re able to open and shippers that could ship. We made the company so everything was online so we can be open 24/7. It was rough but we got past the obstacles with creativity and innovation.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Taylor Elite Sports – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
We have workout clothing for women currently and work out equipment as well. We will be adding in soon a men’s line and more specific workout equipment per sports as well but as more manufactures are getting back on their feet, we will hopefully have that equipment and clothing in production.

I am proud of the persistence of the people I am working with they are fantastic, work hard to make sure we have high-quality equipment and clothes for the people. I am really impressed with our shipping we are getting clothing cross country in 3- 5 days. Our equipment takes a bit longer but in the midst of COVID, our shipping rates are great and so far, great reviews on the clothes as well.

What sets us an apart is you have someone me who has been the athlete that wore the clothes used the equipment and coached so I know first hand what athletes and coaches are looking for and what changes I need to make in the clothes and equipment to get the athletes and coaches the quality items they need. Often you have people who have never played sports creating sports clothes and equipment so they don’t know what those athletes need. But our company has specialists making sure we have a better angle on that then other companies.

Also, what sets us apart is that we offer training for coaches and athletes; we have Taylor Elite Sports Camps we do across the U.S and we bring in top of the line coaches and athletes to do these training.

Finally, this is a family-owned business and everyone including my kids are part of it. My daughter actually did a lot of action photos for the company too that you will see.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love San Diego and the perfect weather it makes the ability to work out regularly outdoors and there is such a big community of people who love to support the small business and support each other. After traveling the world as an athlete of all the places I visited, I love San Diego the most and that is why I came back here to have my family, create my business.
