Meet Drenick Quiogue

Today we’d like to introduce you to Drenick Quiogue.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’m a photographer, graphic designer and co-founder of The Portrait Culture. Two years ago, I have found an intricate passion for photography which then lead me into starting a community organization of talented individuals. My vision as an artist is to motivate like-minded people to pursue greatness in all aspects of art. Throughout the year, I have been determined to travel to different cities and countries to meet new individuals who share the same desire for photography and enlighten them about the beauty and magnitude of this art through a unified community which is now The Portrait Culture.

Please tell us about your art.
My portraiture can be described as a canvas of pure emotions and colors that whispers about my life as an artist. We all live in a colorful world that’s tainted with sentiments from a painful past. The art that I create interprets that life can still be beautiful despite of everything that breaks you. I love inspiring people with beautiful words and colorful portraits and I hope this brings them the creativity they aspire.

What do you think about conditions for artists today? Has life become easier or harder for artists in recent years? What can cities like ours do to encourage and help art and artists thrive?
As an artist, I have noticed a continuous growth of these talented individuals which makes me smile. However, this also means competition will arise for businesses. Nowadays, art can be easily created using all the available technology we have but the only way to stand out is to be unique. If our city can organize creative gatherings and competitions that will motivate these artists to be better, then that will help art to live.
