Meet Drizzle D

Today we’d like to introduce you to Drizzle D.

Drizzle, before we jump into specific questions about your music, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I grew up watching my older brother “Bootsyano” Rap and I listened to all different types of music from an early age. I always loved music so I decided to release my first song when I was 13 years old. From the time I was 13 all the way through high school and college I would release songs sporadically but was not fully invested in music until I was done with college. After I graduated, I came back to California and have been focused on making music Since. Being in California has allowed me to meet a lot of cool people in the music industry. I’ve been blessed with some great mentors in the music game the main ones being my brother Bootsyano, Wiz Khalifa and Aaron D. They have taken me under their wing and have really been helping me develop as an artist. I look forward to continuing to grow and can’t wait to release a ton of new music.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The toughest part has been balance. It was tough to balance being a college athlete, school, work and music but it’s something that needed to be done and made me tougher. I am lucky to have a close circle that helps me through the obstacles the and I’ve been able to overcome all challenges.

We’d love to hear more about your music.
I am a musician and there is a lot that sets me apart from others. I am bilingual so I am able to make music in both English and Spanish, I make music in multiple different styles/ genres and my voice is different. I like making music that has my own little style to it and don’t want it to sound like anyone else.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have performed at more live shows. Since we are in quarantine it makes me miss performing and makes me realize how much I took performing in front of an audience for granted.
