Meet Dylan Tran

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Tran.

Dylan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I got into Filming and Photography when I was in high school during my senior year. My teacher, Mr. V taught me some skills and tools about the career that I am pursuing now. It taught me so much about myself as a person and a creator. It helped me find my passion, and I realized that I love to do it and want to continue to do it for the rest of my life. Once I found out that this was my passion, I knew this is where my dreams would come true. After graduating from high school, I continued into my career to show my creativity and work for people to see what I do for a living. As of today, I take pictures and film for fun but I make them as professional as possible. I’ve had people ask me to take photos of them or record them because my work stands out.

Has it been a smooth road?
After graduating from high school and transitioning to a community college pursuing my career into school was rough and challenging because I had to re-evaluate myself and realized that there was a small part of me that was holding me back, but I was able to work through it and improve myself. As of now, it is a smooth road since its a new decade for people to challenge themselves and to make their dreams come true. My career is slowly growing where I kinda want it to be but I know I have to work even harder to become a better filmmaker and photographer in the future. I still want to continue my passion so that I never forget the opportunities that were given to me through my journey and what I’ve dealt with on the way.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
As of right now, I am an Instagram photographer and I take pictures of anything that catches my eye, taking advantage of any opportunity I can get, but I mainly photograph concerts and big events. Some examples include taking photos for school dances, clubs and college house parties and festivals. I’m proud to capture people’s emotions to show how happy they are in a photo when they’re having a great time. I specialized in filming, photography, and editing. I would say that my creative eye and my editing skills are what set my work apart from the rest and make it memorable. I use an editing program called Adobe Lightroom and Premiere Pro for photos/videos.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years, I see my work and business growing and reaching more people. I see myself working with many different artists, photographing their concerts professionally. I plan to have better equipment to improve my work, and in the future, I will be moving to Los Angeles to network and create better business relationships.
