Earth&Story is a San Diego-based photography team that specializes in weddings and destination weddings. This duo goes back for fifteen years and has gone from the east coast to beautiful San Diego. Our passion for seeing the beauty behind every individual’s story fueled our desire to help them share it- that coupled with being in love with photography has now created Earth&Story. Our mission is to not just take photos but be your visionary storytellers.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
With any creative business, we absolutely have encountered obstacles along the way. With photography, there is always an off-season. But whether dealing with that or any other obstacle, it’s about the team you choose to overcome those with. We have been lucky enough to have built an incredibly strong bond that allows us to problem solve in challenging scenarios and help build each other up, in turn building up our clients as well.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
There’s nothing our photography team can’t do; however, we specialize in weddings and destination weddings. We are known for capturing authentic moments that create timeless memories. We are personally most proud of our ability to connect with our clients in a way that makes me them feel most comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable situation. By the end of our shoots, we feel like we have made lifelong friends and made amazing memories of our own. Getting to deliver our product to our clients and hear their feedback is beyond our favorite part. Being able to make someone’s vision come true and even exceed their expeditions is an amazing feeling. Our style of photography sets us apart from other photographers we have seen because we strive to really tell a story and allow the viewer to feel like they were there as well.
Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
We believe calculated risks are necessary and they can be the tipping point for any given person to actually succeed at something great but risks that aren’t thought through can just as easily be what sets a person back. Count the cost and if it’s worth it then take the risk.
