Meet Edel Vernazza of SD Small Business Forum in Imperial Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Edel Vernazza.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am a passionate and loving mother of two wonderful children’s who are my life. My passion for what I do today started a few years back. I attended American Intercontinental University, as well as, the University of Phoenix, where I received my degree in Forensic Psychology and Criminal Justice, but I found my true calling while working in the hospitality industry. With over 19 years of customer service experience, 10 of those years I planned executive level meetings, weddings, family reunions, and graduations. After working for many years for the hospitality industry, an accident changed my life complete. I was not able to continue to perform my duties for the company I was working with, pushing me away from the corporate world.

After been at home with my family and enjoying every second with my kids, I started to think that I needed to do something, I couldn’t let the pain of my accident hold me back, but at the same time to do something where I was not going to be away from my kids. God help me with my vision and I started to search on different platforms for networking meetings and I started to join groups and meeting people. In 2015, I had the opportunity to start getting involved with my community by hosting an event to help benefit a Homeless man. After having the opportunity to give back and help small businesses, I decided to go back to school and study what I am passionate about social media marketing.

My mission is to help small business grow and establish a great business, by giving them different opportunities to expose their business and increase their sales.

Today, I am the owner of an amazing company SD Small Business Forum, a company that concentrates to help and supports small businesses, as well giving to organizations or families in need.

My passion for what I do comes from my heart, I believe in loyalty, trust, and transparency. ” My legacy won’t be the money I made, it will be the people I helped. #MakeitHappen

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As an entrepreneur, we always go through some struggles in life and in our business world but is up to us to stand strong and continue to follow our passion, to pursue our happiness and goals.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the SD Small Business Forum story. Tell us more about the business.
SD Small Business Forum provides a venue in which to inspire and empower entrepreneurs. SD Small Business Forum provides different resources for small businesses in the form of online materials, networking meeting, vendors events, business development, social media marketing sales and growth opportunities. In February 2017, I had the honor to receive an award by the City Mayor of Imperial Beach for an outstanding business and community support.

I specialize in Social Media Marketing and hosting events to giving back to the community.

I believe that I am known for my love and passion to help homeless, families in need and support our law enforcement. I always go above and beyond to make sure I provide and give the best of me.

I am most proud of how much I am able to help local small businesses be successful by marketing and branding and putting my all into each event to insure that the public is exposed to leaders trying to make a difference and trying to make extra money to support their families.

Every company is different, but I believe that my passion love and transparency for what I do set me apart from others.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I believe that everything happens for a reason and I don’t believe that was luck but more like a blessing to meet so many amazing people through my journey.
