Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Pryce.
Emily, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up in Orange County and moved to San Diego for college at SDSU. Like so many others, I fell in love with this incredible city and never left. One of my favorite things has always been hosting friends and family when they visit, showing them the best spots to eat and explore. My husband and I always love playing tourist in our own city, constantly discovering new restaurants, hidden gems, and unique experiences.
Over time, people began to ask me for recommendations on where to eat and what to do in San Diego. This inspired me to start two TikTok pages: San Diego Diaries and my personal account that are dedicated to showing my favorite spots and highlighting the San Diego lifestyle. Now, I get to showcase everything San Diego has to offer, from the best restaurants, to hidden gems, and must-visit destinations. I also mix in a bit of travel content, but my heart will always be in San Diego.
Beyond sharing recommendations, I’m passionate about collaborating with local restaurants and businesses to help them grow. San Diego has an incredible food and hospitality scene, and I love using my platform to shine a spotlight on the amazing spots that make this city so special!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Luckily, my journey so far has been smooth for the most part, as I’m truly passionate about what I post. There are so many amazing creators in the city, which is both inspiring and motivating. While the space is full of great content, I always challenge myself to offer something unique—whether it’s uncovering hidden gems, providing a fresh perspective, or building genuine connections with my audience and the local businesses I collaborate with.
Another challenge has been navigating content creation itself. Up until now, my page has been anonymous, and I’m working on building the confidence to introduce myself on my page. It’s definitely a learning process, but I’m excited to step out of my comfort zone and connect with my audience on a more personal level.

San Diego Diaries my way of sharing all my favorite parts of this city I love so much—from stunning beaches and must-visit spots to the best restaurants in every neighborhood. Think of it like my personal “San Diego diary” filled with recommendations, hidden gems, and local highlights.
My personal page, emilypryce, is more of a lifestyle page where I mix in San Diego content with travel, everyday moments, and things I personally love—from places I go to what I’m currently into. It’s a more personal take on content, which focuses on San Diego, SoCal, and beyond.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I also have a huge passion for travel and would love to expand more into travel content. I have some exciting trips planned, and I can’t wait to share those experiences while continuing to highlight everything I love about San Diego! In addition, I’d love to start featuring hotels and Airbnbs, as well as creating travel itineraries to help people make the most of their trips.
I’m eager and excited to continue growing my page and building a fun, engaged community. My goal is to create a space where people can come for ideas, discover new places, and connect—not just with me but with other followers who share a love for exploring San Diego. This city is constantly evolving, and I can’t wait to keep uncovering new gems, supporting local businesses, and seeing where this journey takes me!
