Meet Erik Garcia of Cloud Productions in Central San Diego

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erik Garcia.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Erik. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Cloud Productions all started with an idea back in 2018 that stuck with me, and in January of 2019 I started my business, all on my own. I saw a lot of people doing what I’m doing now but I never got discouraged because I always knew there was something unique about my vision. The thought and deep planning I put in was a lot of work but it allowed me to create something amazing.

I plan to use my platform to share my photography, videography and Youtube videos, but also to be a positive influence within the community and do better in my world. Through community outreach, donations to organizations and the less fortunate, and hopefully taking trips to impoverished countries and helping however I can, I intend to do my part in making the world a better place.

On top of that I also plan to release a clothing line in the near future, with all styles and types. Creating and running my company isn’t easy while I work full time, go to school, and fill my weeks with photoshoots, but I wouldn’t change or take away a second from all the ups and downs I’ve endured. I’ve seen more people laugh at my idea than support it, which is why I appreciate everyone of my supporters and anyone whose taken a minute to look at my work, share a post or give input. However, most importantly, I appreciate my friends and family that have supported me to the fullest every step of the way. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am now, and they’ve helped create the future I’m headed towards. Cloud Productions is an organization I’ve worked tirelessly in creating, but don’t get it confused – this is just the beginning.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s definitely been a bumpy road considering I don’t go to school for what I do and I don’t have any friends with the same interest. So as you can imagine, I had to learn every single thing on my own. Another one is everyone expecting you to be a pro when first starting off… I did free photoshoots for the 1st year because I was still shaping who I was as an artist/photographer/videographer

Please tell us more about your work. What do you do? What do you specialize in? What sets you apart from competition?
I love photography because I feel like it lets me freeze time and capture a moment in its rawest form. Some things I like to focus on in my photos are coloring, focal point, lighting, and background. I think the beauty of photography is that a photo never changes, even when the subjects within them do.

To me, videography is the art of capturing an emotion on film. It lets me color outside the lines, catch every second in a moment, and capture what a photo can’t. I love to make videos because it immortalizes the memories held within them, and allows people to feel connected, no matter where they are when watching together.

Cloud Productions is more than just a Production group, it’s a movement. Through my art, I plan to influence the world and spread new ideas, positivity, kindness and love and hopefully inspire people the way I was inspired to follow my passion and dream. We are a multi-modal platform with services in Photo, Video, and other creative pursuits, as well as community outreach and volunteer work, and a clothing line, dropping 2020.

We’re most proud of making art that matters and making differences in the world. I also have my own community service drive so it’s definitely exciting changing the world cleaning up beaches. What sets me apart from others is being able to have personal connections with my clients. I don’t treat them like business I treat them like friends and family. My customer service is on point meaning you’ll never not see me with a smile or complimenting the client to build confidence within them. I’m not afraid to go out of my way to satisfy a client. I give more than I promise.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
If I’m giving credits, it’s to my mom and dad for always supporting me. Unfortunately, they’re the only ones who liked and comment and shared every post. Not many people to credit. I’d like to shout out Cody blue and Peter mickinni for being my mentors on YouTube. I don’t actually know them but they helped me figure out what I’m doing more than anything else.
