Today we’d like to introduce you to Ezme Bahgue.
Ezme, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am Ezme Bahgue, 32 years old. Born & raised in Tijuana. My parents María de la Paz Guerrero & Lauren Tino Bahena, were both very creative and adventurous to always learn about life. They make sure I was always enjoying my childhood and encouraged my creative side since I was five years old. They both have very interesting life stories. I have never considered my self from Here or there because Tijuana and San Diego even tho they are different there still like brother and sister.
Both cities have been relaying on each other for many reasons that maintain them alive. They both offer so much art and cultural diversity and that’s where my creative senses become one with both countries, I observed and photograph places and people, create creatures in my imagination and paintings that explode my mind and tune in with my self passion spirit with Art.
Has it been a smooth road?
Easy journey as and Artist? No way like any other talent, skill or pass time in life is quite the journey we’re you going to struggle on the climb. I see it like fighting against a monstrous creature who is going to put you on the test all the time. The industry of Art, in general, is so extensive that being challenge becomes the daily plate of any creative mind. And of course, like any other career, you must learn and renovate your designs, yourself and revolutionize your ideas. One of the obstacles is understanding that people have different tastes in art, and some or many might not be into what you create. And that cool because that’s the beauty of it there something for everyone to admire and like.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Ezmebahgue story. Tell us more about your work.
As and Independent Artist I want to help on the evolution of Art therapy that involves the use of creative techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, coloring, or sculpting to help people express themselves artistically and examine the psychological and emotional undertones in their art. Clients can “decode” the nonverbal messages, symbols, and metaphors often found in these art forms, which should lead to a better understanding of their feelings and behavior so they can move on to resolve deeper issues.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see my Artwork as trend in clothing or things. Also, as a form of therapy to help others. Most likely to become something cool to admire and to enjoy. Hoping that it helps people in many ways.
