Thanks for sharing your story with us Gavin. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I own and operate an amazing Instagram page called @rolexwhisky, I collect high end, rare whisky from all around the world, and also have a unique collection of Rolex Watches. I travel to private and public whisky events all over the country and get to drink some of the most amazing juice in the world.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, it all took speed on its own. I had no idea I would become and Instagram influencer, let alone a high-end whisky influencer. Next thing I am gaining followers from all over the world, who engage with me, and we share a love for great whisky and Rolex watches.
@RolexWhisky – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a whisky Instagram influencer. I collect high-end whisky primarily limited edition and rare whisky. Its a liquid investment for me, and in 15 years when my kids go to college I will liquidate it to pay for their college. Well, that’s at least what I say now. 😉 I am most proud of my page in that I make my choices who I support very carefully since I am a relationship driven individual.
I rely on the companies and their brand ambassadors to create a good repoire, and then I can get behind them and help spread the word. I don’t get paid for what I do if I endorse a brand its because I feel a connection to them. I love that I get invited to fun private events and get to drink ridiculously amazing whisky, which I love and I get to share it with my community.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I do a lot of whisky hunting, on a few occasions I have been able to pick up very rare bottles at Suggested Retail Price, that are worth 5 to 10 times currently, imagine how much they will be worth in 15 years. 😉
