Meet Geanette Floyd of The Good Stuff Business Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Geanette Floyd.

Hi Geanette, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in a small rural town in Northern California. Somehow, I knew I wouldn’t stay put for long. After starting a career in the newspaper industry focused on advertising sales & service, I began my trek. First stop was in Orange County, CA, followed by Houston, TX, then surprisingly, Milwaukee, WI. Ironically from Milwaukee, I was transported back to Northern California for a few years…. then Las Vegas, and finally North San Diego County, which is where I call “home.”

All the traveling was primarily guided by my job at the time, which I loved very much, and made my way up the ranks as a sales leader in the Newspaper & Direct Mail industry. Somewhere around 2007, I decided to become a certified yoga instructor, which has become my second love. I am now an E-RYT 500-hour certified instructor.

All of this has brought me to today, where I own my own business as an Online Business Consultant. Having my own business allows me the flexibility to also teach 8 yoga classes a week. I feel like I’ve hit the jackpot on combining my professional passion with my soul’s work of teaching yoga.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been many struggles along the way. In a corporate career for many years, I was constantly pushing and striving for the next elevation in my career. During that journey, I had little time for connections with friends or to create a sense of community for myself. It started to become a very lonely world, often leading to depression and much anxiety.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Good Stuff Business Consulting?
My consultancy focuses on Online Business Management. I’ve made it my mission partner with business owners providing a resource to delegate the things that bog them down. Allowing them to focus on what they are most passionate about while I do the heavy lifting in the background.

Services I provide:

– Oversight & management of projects: online programs, developing communication automations for their website

– Management of existing staff: Hiring, training, align job responsibilities. Create employee handbooks, set up electronic time management systems.

– Business processes: Transition to electronic client management systems, set up inter-office communication (Voxer, slack, etc.)

– Social media planning & curation: creating monthly & quarterly social media content (I have a VA who does the creative)

My current clients are grateful for & What sets me apart

– The ability to grow their business & teams quickly with my support. (This literally just happened this week for my client. Wish I could share her audio text here)

– orchestrating their business behind the scenes so they can focus on their passion.

I want to be known for supporting an impactful woman’s business & celebrating growth they didn’t know was possible.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Taking roadtrips with my family, either camping, to the Grand Canyon, or visiting Papa in Oklahoma.
