Today we’d like to introduce you to GIN
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started in the music industry as a promoter I would promote and book events, and then I started my booking business, GSBookings. Instead of booking artists locally I started booking internationally. I think the really cool think about doing bookings and promotions is working with artists I look up to. Then in 2012, I started to work on my own music and videos as an artist and released my first EP titled My Lyrical Expression followed up with Dream Getting in 2013. My career in music took the next step when I released my album Spiritual Bars in 2018, and I toured South Africa. I really enjoyed the feedback and the support I was getting so I continuously tour that market which is has opened up opportunities to perform in other countries. I have performed in places such as Dubai, Jordan, Georgia (country). The albums I released after Spiritual Bars, are: GIN (2021), Birds of a Feather (2022), La Dolce Vita (2023) and I am working on my 5th Independent album titled C’est La Vie. Which I plan to release later this year.
I released 2 singles this year to prepare for the release of the C’est La Vie album which are Wo Ai Ni 我爱你 which I shot the video in Singapore and was released in March 2024 and my newest single California Psychics which came out last week. I am just thankful for the progress I made and the music I have been putting out. I am glad to do something I love.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road. I think in any business you have to figure out who really supports you and who doesn’t. You don’t want to waste time or anyone else’s time if they don’t support or like what you do. I also think it’s really important to focus on the business aspect which will attract people who care. And to be aware of people who say they care/support but deep down inside they are only in it for themselves and what they can get it. It’s life. Just being aware of your surroundings and getting real support is crucial to growth.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am known as an Artist and Entrepreneur. I am known for my music business and being an Artist. I think what sets me apart from others is that I make music that is positive, uplifting and soulful. I am proud of my creativity and the music videos that I shot all over the world as an independent artist.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think the music industry is going to change with AI. I am not too quite sure how that will entail but definitely in technology and sound.
