Meet Greg Kellogg and Disraeli Odalys of AVIATOR STASH in Carlsbad and North County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg Kellogg and Disraeli Odalys.

Greg and Disraeli, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
The project began about three years ago and picked up momentum when we released our Self-Titled album “Aviator Stash” in 2017. Our song “Lazy Summer Days” gained attention when the local radio station 91X picked us as the Local Break and played the song three times a day for an entire month. This opened the doors for us as a band to play bigger venues around town and gain more popularity from fans in San Diego and elsewhere. We were honored to be nominated in the San Diego Music Awards as the best Indie/alternative album and song of the year…

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road to becoming a successful band can be very difficult but for us, it’s the life we chose and we are all determined to keep paving our way through the scene. Just like in any business there can be tough times but the beauty about being in a band is the creative freedom and even the chance to sing or write about the frustrations that one or all of us face in this wild thing called life.

AVIATOR STASH – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We specialize in entertainment and are in this business to make songs about all the different highs and lows life throws at us. We take pride in making music that has meaning and tells real stories about what we have gone through.

We are very fortunate to have a fun a supportive fan base that comes out and makes our shows ignite with energy. All of us are entertainers and love it when we can get the crowd moving their feet, hands, hips or whatever else they got to shake. This band has a very unique level of camaraderie, brotherhood, and respect for each other as players.

We all have extremely varied musical interests and backgrounds, which very naturally manifests into the music that we collectively write, record, and perform. It’s rad!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Ultimately, success for a musical artist is to make a product that you like with people you like. By that definition, we believe that our success has already been achieved. But if we want to expand on that success, then maybe one day paying the bills with that product would be a good start.

Beyond that, perhaps maybe getting a slot on Tonight Show so we can give Jimmy Fallon noogies and make a bunch of fart jokes.
