Meet Hanna Havrylovych of TMPL.EMS

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hanna Havrylovych.

Hi Hanna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey into EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) began from a very personal place. In my previous career, I experienced chronic back pain caused by long hours and physical strain, and I was searching for an effective solution that would both relieve pain and strengthen my body safely. That’s when I discovered EMS training.

I initially started as a client, and the results were life-changing. My back pain improved significantly, and I developed a deeper awareness of my body. Inspired by this transformation, I decided to study the system professionally and completed my training under the guidance of a rehabilitation specialist, where I learned how EMS can be used for recovery, posture correction, and long-term musculoskeletal health.

Over the following years, I opened three EMS fitness studios in Kyiv, Ukraine. My studios quickly gained popularity and became well known for their personalized and rehabilitation-focused approach. I had the opportunity to work with many well-known public figures, including Eurovision participant Jerry Heil, members of the popular pop group VIA Gra, and other recognized artists and performers. This experience strengthened my reputation as an EMS specialist and helped bring wider attention to this training method.

Through my work, I developed my own approach that combines EMS technology with functional training, postural alignment, and mindful movement principles inspired by yoga.

After moving to California, I founded my EMS studio to introduce this specialized European approach to the local wellness community. My mission is to help people build strength safely, recover from pain, and reconnect with their bodies through innovative technology and conscious movement.

Today, I continue to grow my work and contribute to increasing awareness of EMS as an advanced and effective training and rehabilitation method.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey has definitely not been a smooth road. One of the most challenging periods was during the COVID-19 pandemic. At that time, I had already built a team of 12 trainers and operated multiple EMS studios. Suddenly, everything stopped. We were not allowed to work in person, but I was still responsible for my team’s salaries, studio rent, and many other business expenses.

Instead of giving up, I created an online training community where my trainers provided virtual workouts, consultations, and support. It became more than just fitness — it was a way to keep people physically and emotionally strong during isolation, and it allowed my team and business to survive an extremely uncertain time.

Another difficult chapter was the end of my business partnership. It was a major turning point that forced me to take full responsibility for my path and rebuild independently.

Soon after, the war in Ukraine began. During that time, I continued working while living under constant air raid alarms. There were moments when explosions could be heard nearby, electricity was unavailable for long periods, and we had to interrupt daily life to go to bomb shelters for safety. Despite the fear and uncertainty, I continued supporting my clients and team as much as possible.

These experiences shaped me deeply. They taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying committed to your purpose even in the most difficult circumstances.

Eventually, I made the decision to move to the United States and rebuild my life and career from the ground up. While starting over in a new country brought its own challenges, it also gave me the opportunity to grow, evolve, and continue sharing my work and passion with a new community.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about TMPL.EMS?
TMPL.EMS is a private EMS training studio focused on intelligent, efficient, and body-aware fitness. My approach is based on combining advanced Electrical Muscle Stimulation technology with rehabilitation principles, functional movement, and postural alignment.

What makes TMPL.EMS different is that we don’t focus only on aesthetics, but on helping clients build a strong, pain-free, and balanced body. Many of my clients come not only for body transformation, but also to improve posture, recover from chronic back pain, and develop a deeper connection with their body.

I brought this specialized European EMS approach to California, where EMS is still an emerging and misunderstood technology. With over five years of experience and multiple studios previously established in Kyiv, my goal is to elevate the standards of EMS training and show its full potential as both a fitness and rehabilitation tool.

TMPL.EMS is known for its highly personalized training, attention to detail, and premium private studio environment. I work with a wide range of clients, including entrepreneurs, professionals, creatives, and individuals who value efficiency and innovation in their wellness routine.

What I am most proud of is creating a space where technology and mindful movement come together to help people feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies.

My mission is to continue growing TMPL.EMS and contribute to the future of fitness by integrating science, technology, and conscious training.

How do you think about happiness?
I feel truly happy when I feel useful and know that I am not living this life passively, but actually helping improve someone’s life. Having a positive impact on people, even in a small way, gives deep meaning to what I do.

I also genuinely love connecting with people. Human interaction, energy, and trust are a huge part of my work and my happiness.

One of my favorite moments is seeing someone experience EMS for the very first time. The sensation is completely new — their muscles contract without their conscious command, and it creates a feeling they have never experienced before. The surprise, excitement, and sometimes disbelief are immediately visible on their face. Some people are in shock that such technology exists.

In those moments, I feel like I am opening a new world for them. It feels like being a guide to a new physical experience, and that feeling is incredibly inspiring.

These moments give me energy, purpose, and joy every single day. They remind me why I chose this path and why I love what I do.
