Meet Ikaia Pal of IK Visual Creator in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ikaia Pal.

Ikaia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I first started filming when I was a freshman in high school. I didn’t really care for it, I just thought of it as another class to help me graduate. As the years went by, life got kind of hard, and it was very frustrating, so I picked up a camera to get my mind off of things and started filming. I loved making skate and cinematic travel videos, but I felt like I wasn’t creating as much as I wanted to by doing that, so I enrolled in college and decided to work towards a film degree.

After school, I took a job in San Diego that required me to move, so in December of 2017, I made my way out here and have been loving the environment and people I’ve met along the way. Come mid-2018, I started filming the downtown nightlife. I began making videos for various clubs, brands, and celebrities. Some of which include Fluxx, Fashion Nova, Tyga, and many others. I hope the passion that I have for my work doesn’t go unnoticed and I continue getting to do more of what I love.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I lost my grandma three years ago. That was and still is the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with IK Visual Creator – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m a freelance, meaning I’m self-employed. I specialize in videography and am known for that as well. I am most proud of how I have the freedom to create however and whatever I want. I think what sets me apart from other videographers is my ability to captivate an audience within the first 5 seconds of a video.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I want to eventually open my own video gallery.
