Meet Jacob Mantiply

We’re thrilled to introduce you to Jacob Mantiply, who was introduced to us by his mother and talented photographer Stephanie Mantiply of of JAM Photography serving Temecula, Riverside County and Southern California generally. Stephanie is one of our Content Partners. Partners support Voyage by collaborating on content, sponsoring our mission, spreading the word about our publication and more.

We caught up with Jacob about high school, working on the Senior Model team, and more.

Jacob, thank you so much for sharing your story with us today!  Can you start by telling us a bit about yourself?

I’m a 17 year old high school senior and Great Oak high school in Temecula, California. Growing up I lived in both Rancho Bernardo and Temecula, I’ve always been an energetic kid who likes to play sports. Throughout high school I’ve focused more on baseball than academics, but I still maintain my grades at a good level.

Awesome, and so as you know, we’re huge fans of your mom’s photography work.  Can you tell us a bit about what the experience of being on the Senior Model team was like, how the photos turned out and what you like best about your mom’s photography style?
Senior modeling for my mom was easy and efficient, it doesn’t her  immense amount of time to get the job done while still taking photos at a super high quality. The photos turned out fantastic and what I like about my mother’s photography style is that it’s not one dimensional, she could take any type of photos you wanted and they’d come out great.

We’d love to hear more about your college plans, where you plan to go, what you plan to study while you are there and what you’re most looking forward to about college.
For college I will be either playing baseball somewhere studying Sports/Business management or I will be attending Cal State Monterey Bay and study marine science. What I’m looking forward most in college is the independency you get that comes with it.

Any favorite memories from high school you’d like to share with us?
One of my favorite high school memories was winning CIF at Dodgers Stadium with the baseball team. Throughout my life my best memories more or less came from baseball.
