Hi Jane, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I founded Contenta Meetings & Events (CME) in June 2021. We are a concierge style full-service event planning company. Our clients are in the biotech, financial services & tech industries. We are passionate about creating memorable events that amplify brands and motivate employees.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all! The most exciting part about owning a business is the process. I started an event planning business in the middle of Covid. People thought I was crazy to leave a full-time job with benefits. I’ve always felt entrepreneurial and wanted to take the leap. There are ups and downs but over time, you can weather the storm a little easier and it’s allowed me to grow professionally & personally in a way I could never have imagined.
