Meet Jason Matthews of EXP Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Matthews.

Jason, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Before joining The Goldbar Team, I worked as a property manager for several Investors in Boston, MA. The properties varied in purpose from Airbnb to Renovated properties purchased and rented for three years then sold based on the aggressive increase in cap rate from rental income. Working with these investors, I experienced how costly and timely renovation projects were, the politics behind getting approval from the city for C/O and also general property maintenance to avoid violations.

 Being a property manager required my ability to work under pressure and to promptly find solutions pertaining to any legal or financial disputes. This experience gave me a lot of insight and motivation into pursuing Real Estate full-time witnessing how profitable that Real Estate market is with the right knowledge and execution.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Some struggles along the way involved living on the edge in the beginning as you start developing your business. Tending to personal family circumstances and channeling those obstacles as fuel to accomplish your goals full time being self-employed with no safety net. Embracing not having any business for months, being rejected over and over again but somehow finding the thought of quitting even when buried so deep in debt and responsibilities until I reached the light at the end of the tunnel.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with EXP Realty – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a Residential Real Estate Agent and a proud partner at The Goldbar Real Estate Team, eXp Realty. I represent the Residential & Investment sales division on the team. I specialize in Single Family, Multi-family, Mixed-Use, Condo, Co-Op and Luxury Residential sales. I joined eXp Realty because it gave me the ability to be an owner in the company I work for and the virtual aspect of the company is way ahead of its time.

I joined the Goldbar Real Estate Team specifically to be around individuals that operate at a Gold standard as the baseline and constantly motivate me to be a better version of myself.

What sets us apart from others is our ability to see benefits of encouraging each person to shine instead of competing against one another, a true family atmosphere and a force to be reckoned with globally. The training curricula of my immediate team positions us to be the elite of our craft from day 1. I started my Real Estate career the beginning 2019. A year later, I have my own personal team and worked my way into the luxury market from scratch in one of the most competitive markets in the United States.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future entails expanding my immediate team covering the 50 states in the US, Canada, The West Indies, Europe and Dubai. I plan on going back to school to get my law degree and become a Real Estate Attorney.

I want to be known as a world-renowned Real Estate Mogul, owning several successful companies and changing Billions of lives every year.
