Meet Jaymie Tarshis of Jaymie Tarshis Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaymie Tarshis.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My journey in digital marketing started back in 2012 when I was hired as the marketing director for a Mortgage and Real Estate firm immediately after graduating from college.

At the time I was in charge of doing everything from posting and managing their social media accounts, to writing content for their blog to running paid advertising campaigns. And while I wasn’t that passionate about the industry, I quickly fell in love with marketing and became obsessed with learning about all the different ways to grow your business online.

After working at that job for a couple of years, I knew my next step was to branch out on my own and start my own consulting business. I felt restricted only being able to do marketing for one company when in reality, I wanted to be able to help as many business owners as possible. So I told myself that if I could find even just one client to work with, I would quit my job and start my own business.

That night I got on Craigslist, sent out a few emails and within a few days, I landed my first contract. I quit my job the very next day and never looked back. This September I’ll be celebrating 4 years in business and while it hasn’t always been the easiest journey, I’m so glad I followed my heart and took the leap of faith when I did.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road but I think that obstacles and struggles are all a part of the journey. I didn’t start my own business thinking it was going to be easy or that opportunities were just going to be handed to me. I knew that if I wanted to be successful I was going to have to put in the work and show up every day, even when times got tough.

For the first year, I had struggled with finding clients and there were times where I didn’t know if I would be able to pay my rent for that month. I also struggled with imposter syndrome for a while until I really started to feel comfortable and confident in my craft. Even now I’ll admit that I’m faced with obstacles and challenges on occasion, but each time I grow a little stronger and can move past them with a little more grace and ease than the last time.

Please tell us about Jaymie Tarshis Consulting.
I’m a digital marketing strategist and my company specializes in helping small business owners and entrepreneurs generate more qualified leads and sales through Done-For-You Facebook Ads and consulting services.

Unlike many other marketing agencies that claim to be good at everything, I know where my area of expertise lies (Facebook Ads) and I stay in my zone of genius instead of trying to provide “all the things” to my clients. Because of this, I’m able to help my clients create huge results on a small budget and grow their businesses up to 10x faster.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I grew up as a dancer for 15 years so my favorite childhood memory was getting to perform on stage for our yearly recitals. We would do two big performances each year and spend months and months training and working up to them.

I’ll never forget the feeling of dressing up in our fancy costumes and finally getting to show off our hard work to our parents, friends, and family.
